Good show today The opener was the first time Narita won without resorting to the Boston Crab While Narita won, I was much more impressed by Yuya Uemura. He's progressing very quickly and he's getting himself in very good shape. Also looking forward to the main event, I will have to watch it later tonight.

I definitely agree with HBK in 1997. Also, the Rock when he made his last comeback for his match against Cena.

I thought it was like Luger where he wasn't actually *in* the Dungeon of Doom and just affiliated, and that Bret only joined nWo 2000. This is what it was. I remember the announcers always tripping over themselves to make the distinction. He was just Hogan's little buddy. He never even wore the old school nWo shirt. He wore that weird Hulk Hogan disciple shirt. If I remember correctly, he did not become an official member of nWo until he formed the nWo Silver with Jeff Jarrett. Scott Steiner, and The Outsiders. That is what I always thought. Under Hogan, he never wore an nWo shirt and was never officially named a member of the group. It wasn't until the reformation of the nWo in 1999 that he was officially in the group.

Fun little show, really focused on trying to get us to buy Taichi as an actual threat to Naito which...well isn't going to happen but I think the match will be much better than most people expect just because the heat is going to be incredible Naito and Taichi should be a good match, they play well to each other's strengths and have good chemistry. I loved their match last year at Taka Taichi Mania.

The man has done it all but the former Super Bowl and Papa John's champion has never held the WWE title...Wish him luck on his new career... I've seen on Facebook people saying he looks like Harry Kane. Which I would agree with. If he shaved the mustache and cut the mullet, he would look exactly like Harry Kane.

I wonder if Foley has at least considered doing the hyperbaric oxygen therapy that helped Bryan out? I would think it's at least worth a shot if Foley wants to have a later life that is closer to normal. Pretty sad though, oddly his body has betrayed him less than his mind, which no one expected to be the case when he was taking these disturbing bumps.

Took two breaks from wrestling. First one was late 99-mid 00, not because of the product though(at least for ECW and WWF, WCW ended sooner because the product went to shit). I got my first car and girlfriend, so I was out running around a lot and wrestling wasn't as much of a priority. My second break was caused by the "Reign of Terror" around 2004, once HHH beat RVD in a 10 minute ppv main event I was done. Started watching again in '07/'08, and not just Raw, my older brother got me into TNA and I liked watching ROH on HDNet.
Since then, mostly stopped watching TNA in 2010 except for the "Broken" Matt saga and I ended my WWE Network subscription about a year and a half ago after not watching WWE TV for a while. Now I closely follow New Japan, watch All Japan, MLW, ROH and occasionally some British indies. Once in a while I will check out something from NXT or WWE if it sounds good, but I only watch clips and matches, not full shows.

Now if only more people would stop watching and attending the shows rather than continually complaining. It's a good sign that people are catching on to the mediocre to horrible quality and actually finding more coherent entertainment. People have stopped watching, but the big money television contracts leading to record revenues will justify whatever they do in the short term. I wouldn't expect them to make major changes until those deals come close to expiration or AEW/New Japan actually catch up to them, which will take a while.

Was reading an article today that said both Abyss & Sonjay Dutt have left Impact & are expected to sign to take up roles backstage & at the PC. Never thought Abyss would ever leave. Maybe Impact is finally folding?

I’m seeing the names Alex Coughlin, Karl Fredericks, and Clark Connors a depressing amount of time. I don't mind seeing the LA Dojo guys, liked their matches I have seen. But I want to see Goto, Ishii, Nagata and Liger, who aren't booked in Japan.

There's a couple good matches on there. US Title Finlay vs Taylor, RPG Vice vs Juice and Tracey for starters. Always good to see Cobb as well as Scurll and Brody. Gresham is one of ROH's best their having as well It's not terrible shows, but not really New Japan shows. These are basically ROH cards. FinJuice are even in the ROH tag tournament. Better off waiting for War of Worlds, where you will probably at least see LIJ and Goto.

Voices of Wrestling are saying that the Government shutdown has hurt these cards, as visas couldn't be approved. That news should have been coming from NJPW. It is now Regarding THE NEW BEGINNING in USA"It is with great disappointment that we must announce that due to the ongoing 2018–19 United States federal government shutdown, we were unable to obtain visas for our Japanese talent who were looking forward to seeing our US fans at the New Beginning in USA. We are excited to still be able to share a great line-up with our US fans, regardless of visa issues. The IWGP US Champion, Juice Robinson, is defending his title against Barretta and The Great O-Kharn, who is flying in from England, will be debuting in New Japan! What’s more, this show will highlight the talent and potential of our Young Lions, who have been working hard in the NJPW LA dojo. We are looking forward to being able to celebrate the abilities of the exciting new generation of young NJPW wrestlers."

Ignoring the cool and good save of Main Eventer Chuck Taylor due to government shenanigans. I have a question for this thread. Who was the color guy alongside Mavs Gillis at the final Fantastica Mania show? Chris Carlton Not in the final night, it was some guy named Tom.

Not even close here, Oklahoma was terrible and there was no excuse for it. The Horseman parody was funny and it almost seems like everyone else got more upset for Arn than Arn himself.

It kinda goes without saying the cards are a huge disappointment. We don't even get the Ishii Nagata match that was being built up Yeah, I'm glad I didn't buy tickets. I was considering the Nashville show, it's a six hour drive but by far the closest New Japan has come to my area. Looking at the card, might as well just wait for the next ROH/New Japan tour that will at least feature some Japanese talent and should come much closer to where I live.

I love Cody offering that million dollar contract, and then doing the Triple H handshake photo after. That part cracked me up. The Bucks saying we can't spend this much money and then Cody saying he doesn't know how business works because he never went to college.

Booker T or DDP both could have used the rub. DDP gave Goldberg his best match. Steiner could have used the rub as well, but I guarantee people would have crapped all over it.

“I stole the show every damn night, but they don’t want that down there. They want Sooooperstars, and I am a PRO WRESTLER.” If he joins anywhere else, you know that promo is coming. It's pretty obvious. The wrestlers were giving quite a bit of freedom to get themselves over on "Talking Smack" without Vince micromanaging their promos. Many wrestlers took full advantage of the show to prove how good they were, but Dolph Ziggler fell flat on his face and basically gave the crappy smarky promo you posted. I can see Ziggler doing alright in New Japan, because his wrestling would get him over, but AEW is going to be more promo/storyline based. Also, I would like to see Naito and Taichi just destroy him in promos.
