They just said they wanted to take over. They never said they were gonna be any good at it! Sometimes losers try ambitious things! They should have started small. Been focused on taking over catering. Cuz that's where they are ending up. Honestly, if this had started with them taking over catering, and they stayed there, and then they eventually started running catering, that would be a better storyline than what's going on now.

Is... Retribution meant to be a take that towards the anti-WWE crowd by having them espouse how WWE is a corrupt machine and they get their asses kicked all the time? Honestly, it's not something that can even be ruled out at this point. It's legitimately how I've been treating this whole thing outside of the other implication of what Retribution represents. There's always a reason with Vince. Nothing is an accident. Except for his successes.

Man, at this point, I'm just hoping Kylie's alright and that she's not having a bad mental situation.

I always thought Matematico's mask was damn strange, as it's just a regular lucha mask, but with numbers on it. Of course, I never understood what his gimmick was supposed to be anyways, is he a wrestling mathematician? He really likes numbers? I wish I knew what the thinking was when he came up with that.

Still can't believe they had they booked a dude to decide he'd rep short people everywhere and own his name and then he lost everythign every time. If Vince was writing Lord of the Rings, Boromir would have shit in Frodo's food, taken the ring himself, and become the real hero who single-handedly killed Sauron himself. Or Sauron would’ve won, you know, strong heels and all. *Gollum runs off with the One Ring, Sauron destroys everything* Vince, as Denethor: Don't worry, we're gonna give Frodo his heat back at the next big PPV. *Frodo falls into the fires of Mordor* Vincethor: Ah well, plans change, pal! Hey, lookit the traps on that Uruk-Hai, he'd make a great champion for Middle Earth...

I'm just glad they'll hopefully change his name to Chad Gable in WWE Supercards, that shit was so cringy to have to see when he popped up.
Although it will be funny if they make it part of the gimmick where Gable is the only one who calls himself Chad Gable, and every piece of merch, every place where they use his image, it always says "Shorty G".

Same level as when a company gets a complaint about someone saying and doing inappropriate things and send them to sensitivity training, instead of canning their ass. It's useless HR corporate bullshit meant to quell complaints and get the media off their backs rather than fix anything. THey still have several predators on their payroll.

Josh was as terrible as always, but I will give them credit, I liked their explanation of why EY wouldn't just walk away rather than wrestle Swann with the fact that management would basically keep having him face Swann over and over again until there was a definitive winner. It's not the most airtight explanation, but it does give it an interesting take on an obvious concern.
That said, Shut Up, Josh. Also bummed that the wedding wasn't on the PPV, I thought it was going to be.

I hope Leto is in full cult leader mode and won't shave his beard to be Joker again, and it forces WB to spend even more money to digitally remove it.
Seriously, this is, as always, The Worse.

The two best things about it was that MJF has a much better singing voice that Jericho, the so-called rock star, ever will, and Jericho s face when it ended and he looked at his uncooked steak.

Honestly, I love the idea of their next match ending when Lance comes out and demolishes them both.

I mostly only know of Shazzan from a Saturday TV Funhouse that parodied it where the genie stops a bad guy, and then proceeds to torture and kill him while cracking jokes. All in front of the children he's protecting. It...is a dark one. Anyways, I dunno if these count, because I remember them quite clearly, one of my favorite cartoons of all time was Mighty Orbots. And here's one that barely made a peep culturally, Benji, Zax, and The Alien Prince. As you can tell, I was a sucker for robots and space fare as a kid.

Even for something that is completely idiotic, I will always marvel at this company's ability to put a lot of effort into something only to self-sabotage it almost immediately.

These've happened a few times in Doctor Who. Daleks in Manhattan/Evolution of the Daleks had a young Andrew Garfield in a side role as one of the poor kids from Hooverville and Unicorn and the Wasp had Felicity Jones as one of the party guests and suspects. Human Nature/Family of Blood had Harry Lloyd and Thomas Sangster before Game of Thrones. On a similar note, a few Scottish sitcoms were the same, Katie Dickie appeared as a pregnant competitor in a quiz night on Still Game, and David Tennant appeared on an episode of Rab C Nesbitt as Davina in some lovely 90s transphobic humour. In films, Aaron Paul makes a small appearance in Mission Impossible 3 as the brother of Ethan Hunt's wife, also Ed Harris appears in the Father's Day segment of Creepshow. Some of my favorite things about Doctor Who is how sometimes future stars of the show end up being cast in small one off parts in other seasons. Perhaps the most famous is The Fires Of Pompeii, which features not only Peter Capaldi as the patriarch of the Caecilius family who are central to the story, but Karen Gillan as a Soothsayer. They even have an explanation later in Capaldi's run as to why he bears a resemblance to Caecilius. I believe Capaldi was pretty well known even before doing that episode, but Karen may not have been.
