If it was anyone else but Embiid they would got kicked out Embiid is so used to the getting foul calls that he has a mental breakdown when he doesn't get them.

Bowers was thought to be a top 3/4 pick up until getting banged up this year. Huge steal.

Full Trade: 10 and 203 to MIN 11, 129, 157 to NYJ Not a noteworthy haul, but they still get their guy regardless so meh.

Great draft for the Bears. Odunze is fantastic for a guy taken 3rd at WR.

Penix top 15 really is worst case scenario. Trading up for him or JJ is worst case scenario. I think he'll be at worst a decent starter. With the right fit/weapons I think he could float around top 12-15 QB He's accurate, but he's also a somewhat immobile overager who played in a no defense conference. I just don't think he's an average NFL starter, even with the game skewed to let anyone pass unimpeded.

Chicago either gets the best pass rusher or Odunze. They're hoping for a Texans-esque draft.

I like Maye quite a bit. Plus, he's a lot more talented than Mac. Should be excited. Not a high bar to have more talent than Mac Jones It's not, I've been shitting on Mac since before his draft. But you'd think they'd be amped to go from a guy with no tools to a guy with tons of them.

Man, the Heat are so well coached and the players buy in even when there is roster turnover. It’s a shame Jimmy got hurt. Imagine if they got Spider or Lillard instead of Rozier. Would be interesting. I like Spider's Cleveland team a lot though, they're an interesting pair in a city that needed a good non-LeBron team for the first time since the mid-90's.

The heat check 3 has to have old era coaches rolling in their graves. A running 28 footer with 20 seconds left on the shot clock that misses 85% of the time, but it makes you look really cool if you make it. Total style over substance and I wish the coaches of today had any power to get through how stupid that shit is.

It's wild that baseball has reviews, but you can't review a strike call on a ball half a foot outside the zone or on an ejection where the ump admits Boone is probably right but his feelie wheelies are hurt. Baseball is a great sport with godawful everything else. Nope. Challenging balls and strikes is akin to challenging pass interference in football. It's mostly a judgment call, and not every umpire perceives the strike zone exactly the same, just as not every NFL official perceives pass interference the same. The strike zone on your TV screen serves as a guide, it's not sacrosanct. I'm sure if we instituted automatic balls and strikes based on the "strike zone," there would be a flurry of hitters angry about high fastballs up at the letters that are now being called for strikes, just as there would be angry pitchers about a ball being called on a breaking ball that snaps a hair off the bottom of the zone. It's an imperfect system, but there is no perfect system. And as they say, perfect is the enemy of good. Oh that sucks, tbh. Off the plate is off the plate. This sport drug its feet for years on replay like major gaffes are some f***ing purist part of the sport. The same way writers wouldn't give Cys to guys on bad teams. Because we don't need new anything. It reminds me of old hockey fans that loathe the new game because it's not guys beating the shit out of each other for 60 minutes. Times change, games evolve, calls that can reasonably be righted should be righted. This old curmudgeon mentality that permeates the sport keeps baseball from breaking through to younger demos. It's embarrassing to watch these videos of things that could be easily(. SO EASILY.) corrected, that let's everyone bash the sport for being incompetent, look at the solution to these issues, and be like "That would be too much." And again, I'm not expecting robo umps any time soon. But this sucks, and everyone knows it. We don't need to hem and haw about change like Angel's gross incompetence is some charming feature of baseball rather than a really obvious flaw that needs to be corrected.
