(Real talk, I'm more sad at Jade Cargill's elimination from her tournament than the Bruins being eliminated.) Seriously, I liked that the Bruins fought hard. But the Florida Panthers were very much the better team on paper, so this doesn't exactly surprise me. The ECF looks like it could be a damn slobberknocker. Looking forward to it. Florida vs. NY and Vancouver vs. Dallas or Colorado is a great conference finals slate for the league. Tons of talent on display and not a lot of boring, cycle hockey. Skill and speed and toughness. Modern hockey.

good feeling we get a classic game 6 tonight, which means somebody is losing by 40 I hope you put $5 on each team -40, because that was a hell of a call.

Anthony Edwards: *gets shot in the face mid game 30 times* Anthony Edwards like 2 minutes later: alright I'm good to check back in There's been talk since he was at Georgia that he plays more like a football player than a basketball player. Really durable, really resiliant, isn't the type of guy to writhe around on the floor for 2 minutes over a common foul. It's nice these days.

Not sure how many times I've thought, "You know neaxt year I really think the Canes are going to take the East" only to watch them shake hands quite a bit earlier. This might be the end of their window. Svechnikov seems like he never developed into anything more than what he was early into his career (Laine Syndrome), Pesce is likely gone, can't imagine Guentzel will be back. TT might be gone. Staal is like 100 in hockey years. None of these are huge losses, other than maybe Pesce or Skjei, but together you have to think they will be a worse team than the last couple years.

It really seemed like it was time for some new blood this year, but we seem destined for a matchup of the Celtics who are making their 6th ECF in the last 8 years vs. the Nuggets who are making their 3rd WCF in the last 5 years.

Lively and Chet toppled over each other and they showed the replay and Grant Hill with a WILD call of: "Two towers falling down."

There's a part of me that keeps waiting for Vancouver to turn into a pumpkin, but it's not happening yet... The only thing that can slow down the Canucks is the goaltending and that right side of Tyler Myers and Ian Cole. Yuck! But their lines are very balanced, their power play is godlike, and they can skate. Quinn Hughes reminds me of Paul Coffey. Controls the game offensively. I know the league really wants a Vancouver/Colorado WCF because every game will be video game hockey and end like 8-6.

Charles was right in the Nuggets postgame saying you can't wait til guys get injured to use your bench. Precious shoulda been playing this whole time. That frontcourt is so thin and Hart been crashing the boards to make up the difference. Everybody asked to play both ends. Everybody asked to play 35 minutes. Playing close games the last 6. They needed this bad. Going into today, Hart was the leading rebounder of the playoffs. He’s a good rebounder but that should not be the case at all. Game 5 is big for Thibs. He’s relied on Knicks just out working other teams but you have to call up offensive plays and try to make things easier for the team. With OG they had a chance at beating Pacers but without him, Siakim is cooking them. Not even adding Hali going crazy cause he realized he can’t be guarded. This series could easily been a Pacers sweep if game 1 and 2 went their way The Knicks still control the series. They're the better defensive team, they have the best scorer, they're at home. But if this goes a close 7 games or a close 6 games, they're gonna be crawling into the Celtics series who is a team that actually uses their bench and is used to deep playoff runs.

Pacers did the Knicks a favor and took the minutes out of Thibs' hands. Best thing they could do right now is rest their players. Dudes can't stand up to 38-43 minutes a night and not have their play dip eventually. Thibs was still tempted to play them tho but that breather will give them something to refresh their legs a little Thibs don’t want to but he has to at least give some people off the bench some type of mins to give breathers. Or at least be strategic with 2 mins left in the half or quarter and letting players sit through that and the commercial break Charles was right in the Nuggets postgame saying you can't wait til guys get injured to use your bench. Precious shoulda been playing this whole time. That frontcourt is so thin and Hart been crashing the boards to make up the difference. Everybody asked to play both ends. Everybody asked to play 35 minutes. Playing close games the last 6. They needed this bad.

Yeah this f***ing series is rigged. Refs must really want to spend more days in Florida this postseason. I do hate that they tend to do that with the better power play teams. You go against Colorado or Vancouver and they get a few PPs in a row and inevitably score, and then they try and even it up later in the game with some late penalties to make it look more even. But it's very different getting numerous power plays in a tied game, then getting a couple when you're down. It's blatantly the refs putting their thumb on the scale.

I remember the good ol days of seeing a young arm with amazing stuff and getting excited. Now all I feel is impending doom. All amazing arms are a ticking time bomb.

If Carolina can actually pull a comeback off, I'll drop $200 for a throwback Gordie Howe Hartford jersey and run down my street blasting Brass Bonanza from my phone. Well that just sounds like a good idea regardless...

Stars are halfway there. They have to be the favorite against whoever comes out of the other West series with shaky defense and goaltending.

This team is going to hit like Game 4 of the ECF and hit the hardest wall from playing hard at both ends of the court, 40+ minutes a night, 7 man rotations, no breaks in the regular season. Shit, I know Hartenstein hasn't come close to this type of minutes. These dudes gonna be on fumesssss. Your best player is hobbled, Hart puts on a good front but his legs has to be on E at this point. Harienstein and Precious are giving way more mins than expected in the playoffs with no other big man help besides Sims. It is just being realistic at this point. I am not giving up on them as toughness is why they are here but this is a team that has been run into the ground all year and a combination of bad coaching and bad luck has put them in this position The problem is they NEED to dump Thibs, but how do you fire him after probably making the ECF with all these injuries? You're gonna be stuck with him for another year because he finally strongly overachieved.

Knicks have too many injuries and running against the clock of fatigue for me to expect them to win They aren't healthy at all and at this point in the season expecting anything more than they have already given This team is going to hit like Game 4 of the ECF and hit the hardest wall from playing hard at both ends of the court, 40+ minutes a night, 7 man rotations, no breaks in the regular season. It is 2 minutes into the 3rd period and the Bruins have 8 shots. How is that a real stat?

HOW HOW DO HII HOLDERS NEVER FEEL THREATENED ENOUGH TO PLAY THE IDOL WHEN IT'S THEIR TURN TO BE VOTED OUT HOW Like Venus might be the new Dumbest Player in Survivor instead of Jelinksy for me this season. TIFF JUST WAS BLINDSIDED WITH AN IDOL IN HER POCKET instead of the 'Easy Q Vote' and everybody knew she had an idol. Venus finds an idol thru sheer luck, like Hunter is smart about not letting anybody at camp know about it, but STUPID when it comes to playing it when she KNOWS she's getting votes. She smiled after the first 'Venus' vote was read. The last 'Venise' misspelling vote that sent her home is what she deserved. Venus is very dumb for declaring she had no intention of using the idol immediately despite her thinking the numbers were close and her plan hinging on being able to flip Charlie. Just awful. Also, it's funny that people in the tribe paint Q as just hanging on. He's very clearly an easy goat for anyone to take to the end. He's very unlikable, he blew up his own game, and he's got no control of the votes. Plus, you know if you take him to FTC that he's gonna stick his foot in his mouth. I think he should be as safe as can be.
