On Velocity tonight, a mew guy by the name of Ken Kennedy came to the ring. His gimmick is that he announces himself to the ring. But last week he came to the ring as Ken Anderson. To qoute a personal friend of mine, What is Deal? They aren't even mentioning the name change. Does of the Matrix own the Name MR. Anderson? EDIT: I guess you can close this, as someone just made the same thread two minutes before me. That's who I think of when I hear Mr. Anderson. He also shaved off his goatee which made him look like a blonde mini-Nash

WWE usually doesn't have any matches on pre PPV HEAT when it's a dual brand PPV.

Isn't TNA still losing money hand over foot?
Heyman said on Byte This they had lost like $10M of Panda's money when they were plugging ECW One Night Stand on the show.
Surely a company that is actually losing money with their product is on shakier ground than a company whose profits are going downward.

Even though I'm a huge Bret Hart mark, I don't see what purpose it would have to have someone who can't wrestle ever again working for a wrestling promotion.
Thus I went with The Rock. He's the most talented of the group listed. Good ring work and excellent on the mic. Only drawback is the fans don't buy him as a heel...like they don't believe Austin as a heel.

Which sucks because when WWE moves to USA Velocity will be gone. Probably with much of the cruiserweight division. I agree with you, but I want to point out that a good deal of cruiserweights are goen already. I've read that WWE will be debuting a one hour weekend show on Telelatino, which is expected to be a cruiserweight showcase.

Ahhh yes...the beginning of the whining Paul London character that represents the fans.

I think of Mr. Anderson from the Matrix when I hear Mr. Anderson. That COULD be why he changed his name.
He also shaved off his goatee which made his face look like a blonde mini-Nash
One of these threads will stick...

Whatever happened to MNM vs LOD for the tag titles? Didn't MNM beat Benoit/Booker T a few weeks back to become top contenders? Wouldn't and shouldn't there have been a rematch clause? Or by not even mentioning one on the air is WWE expecting the fans to assume there wasn't one?

What I'd find hilarious is watching him avoid slapping hands with any minorities. Or if he accidently does he then would get angry and stop slapping hands. That's even funnier than what I pictured.

Kerwin has offically won me back over. This man is gold. I agree. I rolled my eyes when I saw this gimmick debuted on RAW, but Chavo can pull it off. I read in the house show reports that he high fives white people on the way to the ring. I don't know why but I find that hilarious

Somebody is gonna squeal like a pig. Me when I finally get to see Kerwin White wrestle on RAW, and not HEAT?

Oh I know Parisi/Val would be good, but they will never push Val, so it would drag Johnny P down. And besides I hope it leads to a run of jobs for big Piss... i mean Vis. I don't know....they haven't canned him. I've read that when WWE wants to see what someone can do in the ring (supposedly they did this with New Jack) they send in Val Venis to chain wrestle with them. He's not bad in the ring and he's decent on the mic. His only problem is that he's stuck with being known for the porn star gimmick no matter what WWE tries...which isn't much.

No, I do believe they are actually related. I recall some websites reporting thats why he got the name change before debuting. Thanks! I hadn't read that before. I was only going by the information Coach provided in his debut...which has already been noted in this thread. Just checked OWW.com and it confirms this... In the Beginning: Joseph Dorgan is related to former 70s star Tony Parisi..

Parisi's gimmick is supposed to be that he's a "swinger" (unless Coach just made that up himself during commentary) so it would have made some manner of sense... Yes but Parisi doesnt deserve being dragged to jobberdom by Val.... he does enough jobbin anyway. No no. Not jobbing. I think of it as "revitalizing the tag team division on RAW" more than the team of Viscera and Val Venis will....would.

Are they making that up? about Parisi aka Swinger being related to Tony Parisi.

Why wasn't Johnny Parisi given a shot at saving Val Venis, instead of Big Vis? I could see a team of Parisi and Venis going further in the tag team division than Big Vis and Val...which we'll probably get next week.

slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Wrestling/2005/08/28/1191678.htmlWhile WWE's top superstars were Summerslammin', there was a big buzz outside of the ring.
WWE sources say WWE is prepared to bring back ECW right after next year's Wrestlemania in Chicago.
And we're not talking about OneNight Stand 2. WWE, apparently, has talked about putting the promotion on its own -- keeping the integrity of ECW, small venues and all.
So let the chanting begin ... EC-Dub, EC, Dub, EC, Dub.
Really, this is huge news if WWE follows through and brings back ECW. I still say One Night Stand is one of WWE's best pay-per-views -- ever. Thoughts?

I think I read in a newsbit on WrestlingObserver.com that WWE is coming out with an Angle DVD set. Only problem is that I think they said it would be out around the same time as the Warrior DVD and I haven't seen squat about it on any of the sites that you'd pre-order it from and you can already preorder the Warrior DVD from those sites.

I went with Angle/Benjamin from RAW as my pick.
I really liked Mr. Kennedy's debut, but the action in that match wasn't enough to make it MOTW.
