The clip of her trying to work the camera in the PC by shitting on Sammy Guevara, who regardless of your thoughts on him is easily like 50 times the worker Lacey ever was, tells you all you need to know.

At this point after a year just cancel the damn show. Cancel it and start “The Monthly Show with Jon Stewart”, a one hour show that I think Stewart would be fine with schedule wise.

I don't want to body/face shame somebody, but the emerald baron looks like he's aged about 20 years in one.
You'd think ensuring that nobody could just twee- I mean, X-post his assassination coordinates so long ago would have helped with his sleep, but it doesn't look like it has.
Could also be Tesla losing like 6% of its value today alone, but I'm sure coming to terms with that is like the 7th or 8th most important thing on his agenda right now.

If you didn't see this coming and bail on Musky once the sale was final I don't know what to tell you. He over paid by billions and was going to do all he could to regain that cash, even if he bankrupts it in every possible way. It sucks but stick around only makes it worse. When you've been on a social media site for years and have built connections and friends, it's hard to walk away from that. That's why I'm still there and will be until Musk makes it impossible. I'm also trying to find alternatives for the communities I'm part of to move to. BlueSky is winning so far on that front, but it's still missing necessary features. It’s also hard when a lot of big Twitter users like journalists, athletes, etc. just won’t get off the platform.

There’s a lot to blast Zuckerburg for- rightly- but for all of its faults, Facebook has stayed true to the promise that used to be on its homepage: it’s free and always will be. Even if Twitter shuffles back on tgis, a tremendous loss of confidence has occurred.
Although at this rate, people still on Twitter either worship Elon or think he’s full of shit, so eh?

One thing I know for certain after watching the first few episodes- Patrick Schwarzenegger reminds me so much of his father, just without the accent

Rikidozan and El Santo were more culturally significant respectively. But I think Cena and Brock are the only ones who have wrestled in the last 20 years who the American public at large think of when you mention pro wrestling without going back to 80's or 90's wrestling, and Brock is much more in the "Wonder of the World" Andre category. And that's definitely worth something.
Cena also seems like a guy who works a very easy to understand style that can get a decent match out of damn near anybody. Not unique to him but it's a quality not everybody has. A little like Ric Flair, although obviously Cena doesn't have the range nor the end-to-end quality of work Flair had... pretending he didn't come back after 2008.

I will never understand Mace at the very least not getting a proper NXT run. The man is huge, a good athlete, former NFL man, one of the best looks in wrestling, and charismatic. Why wasn’t he allowed to try to hone in the in-ring side of things? A huge missed opportunity for real. Didn't they try him on commentary at one point too? Someone backstage obviously just didnt like him Hunter just thinks he's some anime fan dork mtl

It really is incredible how ridiculous this guy is.
I'm imagining him coming out like Willy Wonka did the factory. In some ways I cannot blame wrestling fans for always having just a begrudging fascination for this man before they find out that he's a credibly accused, hush money paying rapist.

I can imagine Lawler like a decade or so after he dies, not right now. Especially in his condition.

My recommendation to get into things quickly: as soon as you can pick what you want to do in New Atlantis, go to MAST and join the Vanguard. This is good in that it gives you a very basic outline of the history of this universe literally in the next room after signing up.

It's ironic that Martinet will be remembered as the Mario characters, when I thought he did a pretty great job in a significantly more serious/meaty role as Paarthurnax in Skyrim.

Just to check---this is entirely single-player, without any intrusive multiplayer elements sneaking into the single-player. And the universe you explore is entirely just yours--your not gonna stumble onto planets, like, named by someone else like in No Man's Sky? Yes and yes. You even go to our own solar system very early in the main story.

Should have done it when Punk refused to work with Hangman on his return, let alone putting him over as what would unironically be best for business

A 2D Mario platformer is the soul food of video games. You know exactly what you're getting, you know it's good, you can keep coming back to it. It's not going to break out and be a brand new taste like the 3D games can be, but you know you will get a solid, dependable experience.

He's right, assuming that the main obstacles to getting a deal done are those streamers. All of the other studios making a deal and essentially blackballing Amazon/Netflix would force those two to agree to a deal.

I know the dude is bin water as a wrestler and somehow lower than bin water as a human being. But I’m gonna own my shame and admit that, at the time it debuted, I liked the Funkasaurus. And looking at his debut match in the gimmick… youtu.be/ZISp3t5u79I?si=WriH0sHf6SbbZeuo…Dude is pretty serviceable in the role. I mean, I never got the impression, at least in this early stage, that he hated the gimmick. The shit-talking in between spots (“Should I get him?”, “My bad!”) was something hardly anyone else was doing at the time, and most importantly, he could still believably run the ropes and hit with actual impact. This was his sweet spot on a wrestling roster, the fun opening act that can warm up a crowd with a silly gimmick. But reports seemed to be that he didn’t want that, that he wanted more. But he wasn’t good enough for more, even here at the part of his career that most closely approximates to a “prime”. Genuinely felt like Cole and Lawler got ribbed too and weren't told this is what the gimmick would be, like they had no clue how to call the gimmick of the match Cole going "What is he DOING?" like four times is hilarious tbh Yeah, and Lawler wasn't oogling over the Naomi and the "Alicia Fox vs Mickie James girl" from Tough Enough like he normally would.

Just going through the article from Brandon Thurston and the observer newsletter reports from meltzer and on April 13th, 1987 he said the paid attendance was 90,873 for WM III. February 8th, 1988 it was stated by the WON as 90,000 paid when talking about WM IV and the fact the live gate would be higher for that upcoming mania. January 23rd, 1989 90,817 April 17th ,1989 90, 873 May 8th. 1989 90,817 PAID attendance December 18th, 1989 90,817 again February 19th, 1990 90,817 again April 20th, 1992 90, 873 January 15th 1993 90,817 February 8th 1993 90,817 PAID February 7th 1994 90,873 The November 14th 1994 issue is from what Brandon Thurston hard work is the first example he found of the 78,000 number being stated as the real number. The question is what changed ? Dave has said it was years later when Bresloff gave him the real number. This is not exactly Unsolved Mysteries. Lost in all of this "well Dave is lying because he hates WWE" talk is that Dave has outright said before that if the Silverdome could have held 93k, it would have that night. We have two sides to this argument, one is somebody who has been reporting on this stuff for 40 years and the other is a company that has admitted to lying about the attendance of multiple shows multiple times. I know which side I'm going with on this one.
