In terms of unscripted things that actually happened in the ring, I still liked Rico waiting for Jeff Hardy to knock him off the top rope, and very audibly shouting 'hurry up Jeff, god dammit!' on a live PPV (can't remember which one off the top of my head). I also used to enjoy hearing Kurt Angle shout 'GO!' just before delivering a belly-to-back suplex on his opponent!

I'm apparently the only person who considered Ric Flair saying he was friends with the Undertaker breaking kayfabe. I agree. Although, I think Undertaker isn't so much an undead zombie these days as someone who plays one on TV. But yeah, no friends.

For me, it was when they hinted at the whole Red Rooster actually being a Human Being

4 pages and no mention of Pillman? I thought about it, but a lot of his stuff was not as blatant where everyone would know he was breaking kayfabe. Case in point, typical fans had no idea what he meant by calling Sullivan "Bookerman." They likely thought he was just playing a psycho going off the deep end. Yea. Most fans were like, "WTF? Why does Pillman think Sullivan is Booker T?"

How about when they had Todd Grisham come out on Raw to announce the birth of Triple H and Steph's daughter. Not only a breaking of kayfabe, but just lame.

I think you're mixing your Von Erichs up. Kevin was real(he's the one surviving member of the family, as well). I think you meant Lance, the Von Erich's "cousin". No, I'm not mixing them up. I just used Lance's real name, like Fritz did when he gave that promo. That's why it was breaking kayfabe. Fritz said Vaughn had no relation to the Von Erichs and how they will never be associated with him again and how Fritz never wants to mention the guy anymore. That was big time breaking of kayfabe back then. That was not the final nail in the coffin of the career of one "Lance Von Erich''. 'Twas when Abdullah the Butcher caned him mercilessly in the ring one summer night at Bayamon, Puerto Rico. We all thought the guy would be a vegetable for the rest of his life after that.

On the Pillman DVD, you can clearly hear someone say "low blow" (not sure who it was, but definetly wasn't a fan) and then Austin gives Bret a low blow. I remember spotting that and I was all "XD".

There's a few of those. I think it was Judgement Day (2000) when Earl Hebner is clearly seen giving The Rock a razor blade. I remember a DDT being announced before it happened too, sounded like it came over the headset rather than in the ring. Does Beyond the Mat count in this?

When I saw the subject line I automatically thought about the MSG klique moment. Compared to other moments it may not look so big in retrospec, but at the time it was huge. I remember it being so shocking everyone and made into such a big deal. It kicked off the nWo thing which basically was the turning point of challenging kayfabe. After that jumpstarted things like the afore mentioned nWo which was countered by the WWF bringing in the Fake Razor and Fake Diesel which was countered by WCW mentioning results live which ws countered by Jim Cornette ranting (which has its own awesome thread currently) about the industry and on and on.
So to me that is the moment of moments for busting kayfabe.

Man, no one has mentioned the mid 90's during the "Monday Night Wars" when the announce team on nitro would routinely give away the results of the pre-taped Raw that they were up against on any given week. THAT, to me, was pretty rough

I was at a JAPW (Jersey All-Pro Wrestling) event a few years ago where I saw some unkown kid bounce right back up after taking a pile driver. It was totally blatant too - he was like "tada motherf***ers!"
Needless to say, he's probably having a rough time getting booked these days.

The time when Vince McMahon got in the middle of the ring and said "WRESTLING IS FAKE" and gave out all the wrestlers real names was pretty much the most significant one I can recall.

Montreal Screwjob is numero uno for me.
Not mentioned, but J.O.B. Squad is a pretty big kayfabe breaker for me. Hilarious idea for a stable, but my inner "real wrestling" fan cringes at the whole idea.

I don't see anything wrong with that, actually. Course if it were the Rock or Cena making a mistake they'd go with it, but still... Poor Sid. First his small brain and now this...
