Yes, I can watch them.
But I haven't watched one of his matches since June. Not because I would cringe at the thought of watching them, but because I don't see why I should waste time watching his matches. I'm not interested anymore.

I haven't tried watching any of his matches, but when I see him in video games, it gives me the heebie jeebies.

Unfortnately not. Every time I see anything involving him on DVD (Which sucks because I am currently watching Ladder Match Dvd) I cringe and my stomach starts feeling all weird. Just knowing what he did and how he did it, I just cant...Prolly won't ever be able too

Sure. It's like Lance Storm said, to paraphrase, "The Chris Benoit we knew for the last 15 years was either dead or a fraud."
I'm not really a fan of Pre=Christian Germanic Cultures, but they had a belief where the only way the dead lived on, is in the memories and songs of their deeds among the living.

I like what Fin Martin in PowerSlam said about Benoit. I can’t remember the exact quote but it was along the lines that it doesn’t matter what Benoit achieved in his career after the events in July. His career is sullied beyond recognition. If someone could post the quote it would help explain my point

I haven't really made a point to try and watch his stuff, but if I get to his match on a dvd, I usually skip it. It has to do with that some of his matches kind of bored me, but something like the WM 20 main event, which I love, will be tough to watch.
As a side note though, I watched the Raw is Eddie the other day, and the part where Benoit talks really made me rethink some things about Benoit. He said that he could always tell Eddie what he was feeling and if it was bad, then Eddie was the one who could talk him out of doing anything stupid. He then said that Eddie was his best friend and just broke down on camera. My thought now is that Chris was in one of those psychotic places and now with advanced brain damage and had no one to talk to because Eddie was dead, and he followed out his crazy thoughts. Being paranoid, killing his family, it's sad to think that Eddie could have maybe talked him out of it.

I couldn't watch it, because Benoit never appealed to me.
Him being a child-killer just adds to my never wanting to watch him.

All entertainers, whether be musicians or actors, have done some horrific things, whether it is publicly known or not. I love Van Halen, but Eddie is a meth addict. I can still listen to the bands songs but I don't respect the people(or that one person)
Same with Benoit. However, I still get sick to my stomach watching him. I wish I didn't because it makes my hypocritical, but I guess I need some time to separate the personal image from the character image(which everyone should do when you love a certain entertainer but hate their actions).

No. No amount of ring finesse substitutes for the fact this man choked the life out of his poor wife (which hurts me more than Daniel's killing, actually), and deprived his son of a chance at life. To top it off, his own suicide - crude, but well planned, just cannot be fathomed. After watching clips of his matches, where he does a diving headbutt off a ladder, for example - at the time I used to be like everyone else, and marvel at his ability - now I think, "What a stupid risk he took there. No wonder he was brain-damaged" But then again - I sort of deprive myself of a lot of wrestling matches involving the dead. I have never watched an Owen Hart match since May 1999, ditto Curt Hennig, Bulldog, Bossman....the whole lot. There's no point. These people have ceased to exist. Their emotions captured on camera are meaningless, because they are no longer here to have anymore. I'm sorry, but what a deeply stupid thing to say. So by your reckoning the only work that is relevant is by people who are still alive? As soon as they snuff it any emotion they had on camera is "meaningless?" So Bruce Lee, Laurel and Hardy, John Wayne, Orson Welles, Stanley Kubrick, River Phoenix, Marilyn Monroe, Alec Guiness - all these actors and directors movies are no longer worth watching because they're no longer on the planet? If that's the case, better bin any Sex Pistols, Nirvana, Johnny Cash, Ray Charles, Doors, Queen and Ramones albums too. They're all worthless drink coasters now. This comment annoyed me, not only for the sheer ignorance of its content, but for its poe-faced, matter-of-fact delivery too. Thank you for saying hat needed to be said, it's still real to me damn it. Ok anyways yes i can, and still watch his more then any of the current WWE superstars.

There's a big difference between what most entertainers get up to (drugs, misbehaving) and what Benoit did. Apart from OJ and Gary Glitter I really struggle to think of another case where a celebrity has done something so appalling you can't listen/watch them anymore. Even Pete Dohery- yeah, he's a junkie waste of space, but the only person he's ever likely to hurt is himself. I remember that Powerslam article Fin Martin did, and he had a good point. Benoit was one of the greatest ever, but really, what does that matter now that two innocent people are dead? His wrestling ability has been rightfully overshadowed by his actions in the last two days of his life.

i recently watched WM20 with his match so yeah i can still watch him.[ I kind of got over it/quote] This really is the best way to put it. After the initial month or so, I just kind of moved on. I'm sure to some this would be considered callous but it's true. I went so long without watching matches not because I didn't want to see them but the fact that it never came up in other DVDs that I was watching.
