I downloaded the "To the Edge 5" stat updates and began a game with TNA, but for some reason all my staff are about to become free agents, and all have a morale of zero. What the hell?

Welp call me Paul, despite great booking the NWA goes out of business because I can't handle my checkbook The key is to figure out where all of your money is going. Click the Finance button, and you can see what all of your expenditures are. Then you can where all of the money you are making is coming from. You are spending more than you are making every month, so they key is to figure out why that is and what you can do about it. A few things that you might be able to do: 1. Reduce your production value. The higher your production value is, the more expensive all of your TV shows and events cost. If you decrease your production value by 5% or even 10%, you can usually save a lot of money. 2. Check your merchandise levels. On the Finance screen it will tell you how much money you are spending on your merchandise, and how much money you are making from it. If the merchandise costs are way more than merch is bringing in every month, you will need to lower your merchandise percentage level. Make sure that you lower the Merch level enough so that you are not losing money. 3. Worker costs. Check how much you are paying. If you have workers under Open contract, you have to pay them for each TV show or event they appear on. So if over a month a worker has 4 TV appearances and 1 PPV appearance, you basically have paid them their contract price X 5. Try to get workers like this under written contract.... this way you just pay them one flat rate per month and you can use them as many times as you want. 4. Clean up written contracts. The downside to written contracts is that you have to pay it every month even if you never use the guy. If you have someone under a written contract for a lot of money and you find that you hardly ever use him, terminate the contract. You will have to pay legal fees to terminate it, but those legal fees are about half of what you would be paying to keep the contract active. In other words, look for guys on your roster who are being overpaid to not do anything and let them go.

Turns out it's not just 5. Every To the Edge set I tried had some kind of problem like that. Unfortunatey, they're also the most up to date stat sets available on ewinventory.

Can titles change via DQ? I've been wanting to have a few champs retain after getting DQed but I've never been able to tell if the titles will switch or not.

They don't switch. DQ away.

I hate to keep harping on this, but does anyone have a link to a recent stat update that actually works properly?

I hate to keep harping on this, but does anyone have a link to a recent stat update that actually works properly? Where did you get the one you downloaded? The only place I know is EW Battleground, and that worked fine for me.

I got it from the same place, and it keeps screwing up. I'm not sure what the problem is. When it's trying to set up the game, everything will freeze and I'll have to shut it down. When I reload it, the save is there, but all the staff's contracts are about to run out (showing 0 months left) and all their morale is at 0.
I tried it with TNA and ROH, and got the same result.

Hmmm, that's strange. Well, if it helps, this is what I did with the update:
1. Copy all the files from the 'To The Edge 5/6/7' file into the 'DATA' folder where EWR is. A mistake some people make is putting the updates into the 's1' folder or whatever, and that causes them to not work. Doubt you have done that, but just wanted to give people a heads up. 2. Start the game. If all the files are there, it'll allow you to continue. Then I opened up the screen for a new game. Selected my new game or whatever, and started it. 3. Now, when you have gone into the 'LOADING...' screen, leave the computer alone. Just go do something else for ten minutes or so, and when you come back, it should be on the game screen. The problem I think you're having is that even though it appears like the screen has frozen, it hasn't, it's simply setting up a game (the amount of data it has to load is ridiculous). However, messing with it might cause it to malfunction, and this is why the game is messing up. I've done the same in the past until I realized that I had to leave it alone for it to work.

Apparently, that was my problem. What was tripping me up and making me think it had froze was the fact that after I'd click OK to set up the game, the little pop thing with the OK button on it would not go away like it usually would.
Thanks for the help.

No problem. It's an easy mistake to make.
One of these days, I might go through EWR and delete wrestlers, promotions etc. that are in no way useful. Speeds it up.

i want the years 1989 or 1993 anyone know how i could get that Here, down at 'Scenarios by Year' there are both of those years, from there, you put the data from there in the DATA folder, not a separate one. Oh, and Brother Ray being NWA champion?

Something that caught my interest is some of the relationships, mostly guys that hate or dislike each other. For instance, why would Perry Saturn hate JJ Dillon?
