Im only bashing Rikishi, because I always do.
Seriously, that guy has been stale since 2000. Do they think thats changed? Cause we all know they wont change his gimmick. Whatever worked in WWE.

The I Quit match is probably like 5 minutes, no big spots, and ends with the idiotic "no contest" ruling. I.e. nothing that we'd ever mistake for a PPV main event.
And to think that's not even the only dumb thing we've heard. Lethal loses in a nontitle defense the night after he beats Angle for the belt. Someone there must really dislike him

Someone there must really dislike him Jeff Jarret: Well Lethal looked really good in his clean win over Kurt Angle at No Surrender, how do we capitalize? Dutch Mantel: Have him lose to Christopher Daniels in his first non-title match as champ! Jeff: BRILLIANT! (I decided to give Russo a pass on this for once)

Well there you have it, TNA loses a former world tag champ in Test and gains a former world tag champ in Rikishi. All is well again.

Jay Lethal loses.
...TNA hates him.

Believe it or not, I think Lethal losing may not be a bad thing. After all, it is Christopher Daniels he lost to and therefore this has serious potential to start a nice X-Division feud. Besides, he just beat Kurt Angle cleanly yesterday... I think he's doing fine.

Lethal is being buried, has nuclear heat, is miserable in TNA, is about to be fired, has been offered contract in WWE, free Lethal!
Does that about cover it?

Hopefully, for once, they do a unclean finish with Triple X cheating.

apparently they found a judge who was willing to give a restraining order and to ignore all video evidence relevant to the case

Rikishi is probably there to get his ass kicked by Christian as a "Samoan brother" to Joe, and to advance this feud and keep sending Joe off the deep end for a match at BFG.
Sidenote: If Cage, after beating up Rikishi, goes "I did it for da rock!", It will be the greatest thing ever.

True but Daniels is still treading water in the X-Division against the wishes of his own promo a while back...oh wait i'm not supposed to remember that.

Rikishi wasn't worth crap seven years ago, why do they think bringing him in now is a good idea?

Except this should have been the Bound For Glory Main event, why waste a match like this this one on free tv and two if you want it on Impact why not wait till the first 2 hour Impact, that just makes sense to me. Also thanks for giving me info about Rikishi, but why did TNA sign him, WHY!? I guess they signed him because of the name value. As for why run this match on free TV (especially when it could have been a great main event for your first two hour special)? I don't know. I have given up ever trying to understand crap like this. I understand and that would've made sense if this was 2004 and not 2007 where a good number of the casual fans have probably forgotten about Rikishi.

Man, what's with all the Rikishi hate? I was never huge on the guy, but he wasn't useless, either.
Spoilers sound pretty cool. I'm hoping TNA's for real now, especially with the two hour slot approaching; they were great for a month, awful for a month, and apparently now are swinging back in the other direction...I can't take the inconsistency!

Don't hate Rikishi or anything, hell I marked for him in 2000, but he seems like the last person TNA should be picking up right now,IMO.
