Not as bad as the past tapings. But seriously, What's the point of Lethal jobbing? I mean maybe if it was a 6 man match with XXX vs Lethal/Dutt/Young I could understand. But a singles match clean job? Maybe just picking the Lethal/Daniels mini-feud back up? I mean Lethal got his shot at Angle by taking Daniels shot after pinning him in a tag team match and singles match, so Daniels get his win back and the build an X Title match for BFG. |

Everyone rags on Sean Waltman for never changing his gimmick......what about Rikishi? He hasnt done anything different since his failed heel turn that no one cared about.
And why is Rhino going after Mesias? Im guessing they are going to set up another Monster's Ball for BFG and have Rhino thrown in there. But I think they should do Abyss-Mesias 1 on 1 for the biggest PPV of the year, but what do I know.

I can't believe they're leading off two weeks of Impact with...
Week 1: Black Reign vs. Shark Boy
Week 2: Judas Mesias vs. Showtime Eric Young
Forget TNA trying to be like the Attitude Era, this is like WWF in 1996 before it got decent. Those four gimmicks are embarrassing. I can't believe they would really start two straight shows off with those kinds of matches. Guess last night's PPV was too much of a step in the right direction.

Man, what's with all the Rikishi hate? I was never huge on the guy, but he wasn't useless, either. Spoilers sound pretty cool. I'm hoping TNA's for real now, especially with the two hour slot approaching; they were great for a month, awful for a month, and apparently now are swinging back in the other direction...I can't take the inconsistency! agreed. TNA are hiring people that the general public knows. and who can forget that ass? lol. its a smart business move FOR NOW. now later they might regret it. they've got the right idea on hiring the "big name" guys, but they really need to work on pushing new talent... but it even seems like maybe that could happen what with Lethal winning the x title from angle. i'm keeping my fingers crossed that TNA is going down the right track... but i'm not holding my breath... people die like that |

That's because he hasn't been on TV since then. You might as well blame Owen Hart for not changing his gimmick for the past eight years either.
In any case, the only thing I thought was dumb about this set of tapings was a) the no contest I Quit match and b) the name "Junior Fatu."
As to the question of why TNA would even have a largely unadvertised I Quit Match, well, it will be advertised as the show obviously hasn't aired yet. And if they hype these things too much, the swerves infuriate people more. So, if they just keep it a little on the DL, people are less pissed off when they pull stunts like this.
Should be a decent set of shows.
