I personally think that the whole six-sides OMG thing has gotten old by now and that it is just way too gimmicky. I think it also puts constraints on their talent because almost everywhere else they wrestle the ring is four sides, so they constantly have to readjust themselves to the six-sides when returning to TNA.
I know that it will be hard for them to revert back to the old four sides, but they really don't need an explanation to do so, I mean when Fatu left they just moved on with no explanation, the same thing can be done with this change.
I'm not saying to get rid of it all together, maybe they can make the six-sides special and only use it during the their signature PPV matches like Ultimate-X and Lockdown.
Personally I just want it to stop being used regulary, it really distracts me from the matches.
I'm pretty sure this has been discussed, but what the hell....so what do you guys think?

TNA has bigger problems than the number of sides it ring has. And I personally am not distracted by the shape of the ring.

I must be one of the only people who likes the six-sided ring. It's different and feels "fresh", if that makes sense.
Personally, I think it was a good move by TNA.

i enjoy the six sided ring. it wasn't the first time i had seen a promotion using one, and i had never heard any complaints really about six sided rings until tna started using one. some people say every match is awkward in six sides, and no one can put on good matches with six sides, but i just find that to be silly talk. i don't think it's gimmicky it is just something different that works for them.

I have no problem with the six-sided ring. Whether they use four or six sides doesn't matter so much to me as what they're doing inside of it.
As long as the ring isn't miniature (with stiff ropes), like the ones WCW used.

Honestly, I don't even notice the ring anymore. I am used to it at this point. Once I was watching TNA with a friend who was seeing TNA for the first time, and he was like "what's with the ring?" And I was like "Huh? What about it?" And he was like "It's like a different shape." And I says to Mabel, I says "Yeah their ring has 6 sides."
That post even confused me, and I wrote it.

I am a fan of the 6 sided ring only in x division matches. I hate it in Tag matches and with the heavyweights. I have never felt there was much of a flow with it.

I like it. They got it from AAA that used it in 2002. I agree that it's best in the X division matches.

The six sides aren't going anywhere.
After all, it's the only thing they've got to differentiate themselves from the E.

Again, as a guy who's been watching AAA with their six sided ring since i was 10 I find no problems with the 6 sided ring. the only problems I have with it are TNA's shoddy camera work. AAA has excellent camera work, production, and gives great views of the action.
I don't get why when Jarrett went to get the 6 sided ring from AAA, he didn't get a couple of the producers, camera men, and editors to help train his crappy crew.

To be fair, I never said that the matches in the ring are bad, in fact they are great, but I can't seem to shake the fact that for some reason if TNA wants to keep moving up they gotta shake this six-sides thing off, I know a lot of people who are turned off by it, obviously not here on this forum. Although I do agree that AAA used the ring with a lot better feel.

While I remembered it from the little bit of AAA i watched, I always figured for some reason that they used it because it was shaped more like the octogon of UFC, which is super popular right now, maybe more than wwe

Just about anything that separates themselves from WWE is a good thing. The Six-sided ring should be kept for the promotional potential alone: when Angle jumped, the poster for it was awesome and we certainly all had alot of fun here with the "Our Ring has Six sides..." line.

The sad part is that sometimes that may be the truth. TNA has the best wrestlers in the world. Yes, ROHbots, I said it. A lot of them came from ROH though. If TNA ever does get rid of the six sides, I will laugh my butt off at all the, "See they're trying to be like WWE!11" comments that are exactly equal to, "What's the point of it?" comments we get now.

They may frustrate you but in my opinion three out of their last five broadcasts have been excellent (BFG and the last two impacts).
I don't care about ratings and PPV buyrates -- I care about which wrestling company is good enough to appear on my television on a regular basis.
The TALENT is what separates TNA from WWE not how many sides the ring has.
I wouldn't care if they made it an octagon.

I've never watched anything strictly because it was the most popular. Otherwise, there's no way I'd enjoy ROH, Chikara, PWG, and my own local fed. All I care about is whether or not I enjoy it. And I haven't enjoyed TNA for a long, long time.

All I care about is whether or not I enjoy it. And I haven't enjoyed TNA for a long, long time. According to you, you haven't watched TNA in a long, long time. The Ultimate X match at BFG was so good they're putting it on free tv. Last year the quality took a huge hit when Russo showed up, but it's been six months since all the matches were five minutes long. That was an unfortunate and thankfully brief period in TNA's history that IS history now that they have two hours. Anyone who says the two hour shows aren't better doesn't know what they're talking about.

I still say that they need three rings with 3 sides each and then they can have 3 separate matches going at once.
