According to TMZ.com, Hulk Hogan's son Nick has been charged criminally in that August car accident that rendered his friend a vegetable. A warrant was put out for his arrest earlier and he has turned himself in.
Quite sad to read the Hogan family statement where they stick that oh-so-subtle dig in there about how Nick's friend was not wearing a seatbelt, and how they are going to champion the cause so others will not make the same mistake. I agree, the kid should've been wearing a seatbelt, but talk about strategic placement of words. Give me a break!

So maybe blaming other people for your actions is some Hogan family trait.

I feel a bit bad for Nick. He's just a dumb kid when all is said and done.
Personally, I think a large part of the blame should be placed on the parents who let him do whatever he wanted, spoiled him rotten, and didn't teach him there were consequences to his actions.

I'm assuming you don't currently have kids, but for saying that, you are automatically a better parent than 90% of people currently raising children.

At least he turned himself in instead of trying to run from the cops like I thought he might.

Anyways, he shouldn't have been spoiled to the point where he just didn't give a f*** about the consequences of driving, etc.

Is he 18 years old yet? If so he's an adult, and he needs to shoulder the blame himself.
I'm not saying Hogan and Linda were great parents. I have to doubt they were, but if the got repeated tickets he had received all the warnings to slow down he could.

I don't see how he can go to jail on this one at all... Even if he wasnt a semi celeb.

While he comes off as kinda douche-worthy, he doesn't seem like THAT bad of a kid. Not enough to go to jail.

I actually think he might go to jail. Because if they use the car magazine as evidence, it's a guarenteed conviction. Plus I really think he needs to be in jail for a day. That's it though. Air it on MTV as Hogan gets Raped.

After the accident there was an interview with a magazine where he was bragging about getting pulled over 2 or 3 times for doing 100 MPH and getting let off because of who his papa is. At least I think that's the story being referred to.
