Whatever happened to building your own guys into monster rating draws? Guys like The Rock didn't just materialize out of nowhere. Agree'd. however if they wanted to do something logically that MAY have helped the ratings instead of Pacman Khan Jones they could have used his money to get Goldberg, his name is known well in the pro wrestling world, and if booked correctly he could have made a impact(no pun intended). Its a shame Bill held out TNA for such a big contract and now they have no interest in each other.

well tna could also help the ratings by releasing certain individuals and creating new talent, there certain iniviuals need to be released
vkm sting ( hes not helping the ratings and he wants to retire) black reign team 3d ( they were stale in wwe there even more stale in tna) scott hall and kevin nash (keep them around as agents but not talent) the steiners
an if its true an jeff jarret wont be used as a talent thats good as well and now create young talent and push who deserves to be pushed
people will tune in if its something new and creative and edgy, if you put out old ecw, wcw, and wwe guys and give them the same gimmicks if just wont help, people seen it before they dont wanna see it again

It doesn't matter who they got if nobody knows they got 'em. People just don't know about TNA, i could throw a guess that most of the people here on Wrestlecrap forums watch TNA because you get news, you people watch wrestling regulary and know what's going on. Maybe it's just that....nobody cares about WRESTLING, WWE is the only thing going. People know WWE, it's a household name they don't need a single TV commercial or big flashy lights saying "WWE TONIGHT", they're established company in a bad business. TNA has been brought up during a time that nobody gives a damn about wrestling, wrestling is not a talked sport it doesnt have a coverage on ESPN, it doesn't have TV commercials, the only celebrity wrestling brought was Hogan(in my opinion) and there is nothing following whats going on in wrestling. So people never get informed about TNA yet the jerks in the management think they're big time by hiring guys who they can barely afford to pay. "People don't watch wrestling anymore, they watch WWE" 100% dead on. I can't stand people who go on about how pushing so and so, or bringing in a certain booker would make the ratings jump to 5.0s. Wrestling in general has a huge glass ceiling on it right now. It's not as simple as pushing the right guy.

Someone who actually knows how to promote angles, feuds, and matches in a way that catches peoples attention.
I'm sorry, it might seem mean, but when I miss an Impact, it doesn't bug me. I don't feel like individual matches make a difference either way, and until the standard one on one is ACTUALLY the standard in TNA, gimmick matches are worthless.

Paul Heyman. It's worth a try because nothing else is working.
I forgot who mentioned it but TNA really needs to do some advertising. It could have worked when they signed Pacman and brought in the guy from the Cardinals. But everyone that's not in the know thinks TNA is a WWE brand. There's no guy that you can bring in that will automatically bring up the ratings for more than one week. Especially if the bookers don't know how to book them.

I think what TNA needs is a new heel stable. The IWC would love this. Well, I think the wrestling industry is clearly heading in this direction. On Raw last week, Randy Orton kept saying "Thank you for being a friend" to Flair. Well, they have traveled down the road and back again. Flair's heart is true, and he's been a friend and a confidant. Why, if Flair threw a party, and invited everyone he knew, he would see the biggest gift would be from Randy, and the card attached would say "thank you for being a friend". On topic, big names are not working. Either get the name out more with advertising and house shows, or maybe push the guys you already have and make them seem important.

God bless Jericho, but both companies need something new and fresh. I think TNA made a huge mistake in the booking of Joe VS Angle. They hot shotted the match, and had several encounters when there was only one needed in which Joe destroyed Angle say after a three or more month build.

Giuliani vs Hillary would boost ratings, but I don't see it happening.
TNA just needs to just keep promoting their "homegrown" talent, and the ratings will come with time.
Also, I think Impact got a 1.2 or 1.3 the night when Kurt Angle was running around naked looking for his clothes, which Samoa Joe had... so maybe more naked people is the key.

I don't really think anybody can. But I blame the timeslot. There's Thursday Night Football, CSI, Grey's Anatomy, Without a Trace, The Office, Scrubs & ER all on Thursday nights between 9-11. Now I doubt the wrestling fanbase among viewers of those shows isn't huge by any means, but it's still a factor IMO. Thursday nights have always been great for wrestling. WCW Thunder did high 3's and 4's in the beginning. WWE Smackdown was also doing great on Thursday night, until it got bumped for Everybody Hates Chris. Plus, those were the days when wrestling was up against Seinfeld and Friends.

With the possible exceptions of the Rock, Steve Austin or John Cena, no one person can bump up raitings overnight.

me.
" That wouldn't bump ratings!"
Yuh huh, I know a couple people who would watch.
In all honesty, they've got a good roster now, they should maximize them first.

The answer is that TNA needs stronger advertising, and they can only get that with Spike's help. Spike needs to promote TNA more strongly, and TNA needs to make hay with the fact that they've got a game coming out. Use it as a chance to run commercials featuring the TNA product on other networks. I agree that TNA really isn't mainstream or a household name at this point, and things like the videogame (if it is good) will help a lot. Why isn't there a TNA magazine? I would subscribe.
