TNA has failed with Booker-T to bump the ratings above 1.1 They have put on title matches, huge 6-man main events, tournaments involving turkey suits, and even drinking contests. What TNA needs is more talent. Who should TNA bring in to accomplish a 1.2 or even... 1.25
....and go!

As I said earlier, in their true vision of bringing in a main-eventer and then somebody they think might be a main eventer....

Honestly? The Rock. He'd get them to 1.3 at least. Maybe 1.31.
Of course if they want to start getting ratings in the high 8's, then need to hire Chris Masters and put him in a sombrero. SOMEONE has to do it.

the answer is no one. if the past year has taught us anything it is that WWE fans won't watch TNA just to see ex-WWE guys, i mean if kurt angle and sting aren't drawing number bringing in RVD isn't gonna help, instead they should focus on the wrestlers they have under contract and try to slowly build up the ratings, or just focus on making the current 1 million viewers care enough to buy a PPV

What is the deal with this six sided ring?

Nobody. What they should be doing is building up their own current guys like Samoa Joe, Jay Lethal, Robert Roode, and Abyss instead of playing WWE's Isle of Misfit Toys. Believe it or not some guys do get booted out of McMahonland for a good reason and the reason is they couldn't draw shit.

I don't really think anybody can. But I blame the timeslot. There's Thursday Night Football, CSI, Grey's Anatomy, Without a Trace, The Office, Scrubs & ER all on Thursday nights between 9-11. Now I doubt the wrestling fanbase among viewers of those shows isn't huge by any means, but it's still a factor IMO.

I once saw an episode of Walker Texas Ranger where Sting guest starred as the leader of a biker gang that operated a meth lab.
The episode actually concluded with a Sting vs. Chuck Norris fight. So perhaps their rematch could happen in a six sided ring.
I agree with the folks who said that if top WWE guys like Booker and Angle can ask for their releases, then immediately jump to TNA and not get higher than a 1.2, then there isn't anyone currently in the business who can bump the ratings.
Hogan and the Rock aren't going to come out of retirement for what TNA is able to pay them.
That doesn't mean they shouldn't pick up RVD or any other talented guys who walk out of WWE. It just means it won't make a huge splash in the ratings right away.

no clue. you hear the complaint saying it is because they don't push their own talent, yet they do. ratings didn't change when joe was challenging for the belt. they do push their younger talent. everyone just talks about the wwe talent they push and forget that all the rest is them pushing their own talent.

It doesn't matter who they got if nobody knows they got 'em. People just don't know about TNA, i could throw a guess that most of the people here on Wrestlecrap forums watch TNA because you get news, you people watch wrestling regulary and know what's going on. Maybe it's just that....nobody cares about WRESTLING, WWE is the only thing going. People know WWE, it's a household name they don't need a single TV commercial or big flashy lights saying "WWE TONIGHT", they're established company in a bad business. TNA has been brought up during a time that nobody gives a damn about wrestling, wrestling is not a talked sport it doesnt have a coverage on ESPN, it doesn't have TV commercials, the only celebrity wrestling brought was Hogan(in my opinion) and there is nothing following whats going on in wrestling. So people never get informed about TNA yet the jerks in the management think they're big time by hiring guys who they can barely afford to pay. "People don't watch wrestling anymore, they watch WWE"

If Angle couldn't bring the ratings up, nobody will. I don't think Stone Cold or Hogan could bring the ratings up. I don't know what TNA's solution will be, but it's certainly not in bringing in any more big names.

Like I just said in another thread: big names clearly won't do it, outside of MAYBE The Rock.
The answer is that TNA needs stronger advertising, and they can only get that with Spike's help. Spike needs to promote TNA more strongly, and TNA needs to make hay with the fact that they've got a game coming out. Use it as a chance to run commercials featuring the TNA product on other networks.
Simply put, TNA needs television exposure outside of their own timeslot. They have about a million and a half viewers, which is nothing to sneeze at, but too many people have no idea they even exist.

I think what TNA needs is a new heel stable. The IWC would love this.

TNA is doing quite well for themselves at a time when wrestling isn't hot.
Honestly, they just need to keep the boat afloat and continue to establish their loyal fanbase. Maybe at some point they'll stumble upon the next nWo angle and start a new wrestling boom. Maybe the WWE will do it and they can capitalize. Either way, I think it's ludicrous to expect them to be doing much better than they are at the moment.

Whatever happened to building your own guys into monster rating draws? Guys like The Rock didn't just materialize out of nowhere.
