I wonder if taking part in an illegal gambling operation would be considered "hurting the business". I guess hurting his business. He hurt his business and was given the business now he complains about the business. Least he didn't go to prison and take it up the business.

I totally agree about the selling, but I don't think the internet is hurting the business too much.

If this were any other wrestler, I'd say he has some good points.
But coming from Hip-Hop Inferno, it means nothing.
The only way it could have less credibility is if Buff Bagwell wrote it.

He's right, like, with ROH sometimes, wrestlers aren't the best at selling. Obviously, there are guys who are good at it like Danielson, but there are still a lot of guys who couldn't sell a car for $20, let alone sell wrestling moves. They will attempt to mask the fact by using tons of high spots, like random finishing or finishingesque moves. One example are the Briscoes, who I do love, but are an example of what Disco is talking about.
But of course critisizing the net is bad, and that means we must make fun of him and say he was a bad wrestler. We also must believe he has no idea what he's talking about, despite actually being in the buisness and actually knows what he's talking about, as compared to us fans who just read stuff on message boards.

I agree with some of his points, but no, he wasn't that great a wrestler. He also gives the internet more credit than he should.

I do agree with some of his points especially about the rating system which means nothing really.

It's interesting that he rags on the Brody rip-off for being a weak copy, yet makes no mention of his "Chartbuster", an incredibly weak Stunner that just happened to appear during the time when Stone Cold was the single hottest thing in wrestling history. Odd.

Odd. Nor does he mention the fact that his variation got taken away from him in WCW so that it could be used by Ed F***ing Leslie. When your finisher gets stolen by a man so stupid that he causes a terrorism scare by losing his cocaine, you've got issues.

I like how people think that the internet is one big thing that goes around and does things. It's a group of people, I reject this article because I reject the premise, that all IWFs are kids who think Vince Russo killed WCW and Paul Heyman and Devid Meltzer are gods.
I've only been a part of this mysterious and frightening IWC for a few months, but I have seen more discussion on a variety of topics other then Paul Heyman and Meltzer. As a matter of fact, I've seen people defend WCW and attack Heyman and Meltzer. Yeah some of us can be wrestling snobs, myself included, but the bottom line is, we still watch WWE and TNA. The difference is instead of thinking the both of the TV guys can do no wrong, we complain constantly. Is that killing the business, or just Disco's ego.
As for our "worship" of the independents, I know at least on these forums, that I have seen a lot of criticism of the independent federations, sometimes even more then the big guys. Again, I reject your premise, you dancing fool.
So bottom line is, if numerous steroids scandals, a high profile murder, a death seen on a pay-per-view, allegations of sexual misconduct (and this is just the stuff from my short lifetime as a wrestling fan) haven't killed the business, then a bunch of geeks (self included) flaming John Cena won't either.

He got us guys. He painted every one of us for the smarks we truly are. Disco Inferno, we realize we need to change. But once you've seen Kobashi/Misawa, you never want to go back. I just wish you understood.

The guy has some good points, but it looks like he's really just trying to put himself over subliminally. Like he knows what good wrestling is. He says that "IWF's: are hurting the business, yet what he fails to see is that maybe the business is changing. It's a business that needs to reinvent itself, otherwise it will become stale and NOONE will watch.
And seriously... Can he even make up his goddamn mind? I mean, he goes from bitching about how Jacobs can't wrestle, to bitching about how the cruiserweights were underappreciated with NO link between the two points. It literally reads like he's saying "the X-Division guys are not good. They do too many highspots and they don't sell enough. The cruiserweights in WCW did the exact same thing and it drove me crazy when the IWF's didn't like them!" He's contradicting himself and it makes him look ignorant.
Every good point he made was just a good point made by f***ing Raven in his many shoots.
Seriously, this is an article in which DISCO INFERNO tries to tell people what good wrestling is... Kinda ironic, eh?
