MVP qualified for the WrestleMania XXIV Money in the Bank ladder match at last night’s SmackDown/ECW house show. MVP beat Jamie Noble to become a participant, only two spots remain as Carlito, Jeff Hardy, Chris Jericho, Ken Kennedy, and Shelton Benjamin have already qualified.

well, another good addition I guess. I would have much rather he defended his US title against Matt Hardy though.

So no MVP/Matt Hardy at Mania? Looks like Batista wins the US title this week on SmackDown!

If the WWE chooses to actually acknowledge this took place.

Batista will probably win the belt just so he looks stronger at Mania like last year when Lashley and Umaga had belts.

If the WWE chooses to actually acknowledge this took place. Which I doubt they will.

I was really looking foward to MVP/Hardy...
Still, there is hope that this never took place.

Maybe Matt can be a last-minute qualifier.
If so, others who can get that 8th spot would be Elijah Burke, Kofi Kingston, or hell, put Super Crazy in there and let him actually show off what he's capable of.

I still say we're getting Hardy vs. MVP at Mania. I really don't think WWE will even acknowledge this. They probably did this at a house show just to give MVP some heat.

So far WWE.com hasn't said anything about it, but that'll probably change once Friday rolls around.
...g'damnit.
The only thing I can think of is that since Matt also had elbow surgery while he was out there's a chance they're holding off on a program between Matt and MVP.
...but if he's been at house shows...
gah, confusing.

They will in no way acknowledge this. Matt is just now returning to the ring, there is no reason why they won't do Matt/MVP at Mania.
With the US title match being No Holds Barred, It's perfectly set up for Umaga coming down and costing Batista the match, and then the two of them proceed to beat down Batista. Then Matt returns to make the save. Challenges MVP to a US title match, it gets accepted/made by Teddy/Vickie. They have a tag match to further the feuds, and everything is fine and dandy.

Shame to miss out on Hardy/MVP. I'm hoping Matt fills one of the remaining MITB spots, with him helping Jeff get the win by taking MVP out. This would set up the US title match at Backlash...

If this is true (and it counts), then I say Vince wants to save Hardy/MVP for Backlash or Judgment Day so it can be an ironman or 2/3 falls match. With the WM card already stacking up, you'd get a 10 minute Hardy/MVP match. And that's just not fair to their feud.
EDIT: Plus, I got a new person to root for in MITB. Forget Hardy(s)...that briefcase should be BALLIN!
