In the past, Joe has pretty much said that he's going to re-sign the contract. He's making more money at TNA than he would at an entry-level position in the WWE, and he's in the main event there.

TNA has used Joe so poorly since Angle came in. I wouldn't be suprised to see Joe in a WWE ring later this year. I can't wait for the stellar Samoa Joe vs Hornswoggle matches.

For what it's worth, Buck Woodward from PWI totally shot this down on his radio show last night. He said Joe's contract is no where near being up.

I'd fear Joe might get lost in the shuffle if he went to WWE. Maybe, and hopefully not, as they seem solidly behind Punk though. Might be interesting to see him on Smackdown.

I highly, highly doubt Joe's leaving. TNA's a pretty good deal for him, all in all. As for earlier comments about Punk: based on what I've seen of him in ECW, I think he might actually work a harder style in WWE than he did on the indies, oddly enough. Punk did NOT have a strike-centered offense in the indies, far from it. I agree. Punk in ECW does work a more 'stiff' style, in terms of the strikes and such. However, if you look at Punk towards the end of his ROH career (and even when he came back at Unscripted II) you can see his style evolving towards what it is now. I don't think Joe's going to leave TNA. Yeah, he seems mired in upper-midcard hell right now, but here's my view on that: There are people who should only get the belt when the time is absolutely right. If you put the belt on them at any other time, it won't go over as well, if at all. Joe is one of these people. The last time when the iron was totally ripe to be struck was at Hard Justice versus Kurt Angle, but TNA felt it would be better for them to run with Angle. Now isn't the time for TNA to pull the gun on Joe and strap a rocket to his ass to be the total top of the card. Intrest in Joe has cooled somewhat, but it is slowly coming back. I say by May/June Samoa Joe fever will be all over again and then the time would be right for TNA to cash in by giving the title to Joe. And it actually looks like they're building towards this right now. EDIT: Also, do you think Joe's little rant at Turning Point cooled TNA a little bit?

If Joe leaves, i'd be upset..but onestly, I don't see him making an immediate Impact in WWE, the guys there wouldn't be to eager to put him over, and they'd probably act chitty towards him because he came from the "other" company. Yeah, because TNA is a HUGE threat to the WWE.

Russo and TNA have jobbed Joe to the point where no one cares about him. Russo's "magic" works again. Joe should just leave what is a second-rate (and that's being generous) promotion.

I do see Joe staying in TNA as probably the main reason he joined TNA was because he enjoyed working with guys like Christopher Daniels and AJ Styles.

Russo and TNA have jobbed Joe to the point where no one cares about him. Russo's "magic" works again. Joe should just leave what is a second-rate (and that's being generous) promotion. Russo didn't ruin him. If Joe is "ruined", then Jeff Jarrett (as a booker/promoter) ruined him. Or Kurt Angle, by accident. In TNA, Joe was never a bigger deal or more over than when he was set-up as the handpicked opponent to beat Jarrett clean in that PPV non-title lumberjack strap match at TNA's Whatever It Was 2006. That was before Russo started writing again, and before Angle officially debuted (Angle and Russo were hired that week, and started working the next night at TV tapings). Joe went over Jarrett on PPV, but didn't win the title. That was the right time for Joe winning his first (non-ROH) world strap. Two months later, Angle fought him at the PPV in a babyface vs. babyface dream match, split Joe's TNA fanbase 50/50, jobbed him, and Joe stayed pretty much out of the title picture for what, 16 months? Even then, Joe's been dominant and unbeatable, and the only times he's lost (Angle, Christian, Tomko) he's been completely screwed. That's not jobbed out or ruined. But about Joe staying in TNA or leaving....I'm a big Joe fan, and I'd love to see him breakout huge as a top guy in WWE (or even TNA again), but if he went to WWE...he'd probably have the exact same tenure as Tazz and Rhino coming out of ECW. Vince has never understood how to get the most out of those types of unconventional, thicker, 5-foot-11 (and under) guys booked as bruisers and wrestling machines, because in any given era, he's got too many sucky 6-foot-5 juiced-up clods as pet projects on the midcard (Billy Gunn/Palumbo/Masters-types) to push in that same spot, too. Benoit's the best example of that unconventional non-WWE-style of wrestler working in the modern era, but he didn't look like Tazz, Rhino, or Samoa Joe. Benoit was so roided up and fat-free that Vince bought into his wrestling, probably because Vince liked staring at his muscles. But, if Joe has political allies in WWE (John Cena), he could work there too. If Kevin Nash wasn't working the 'net in his last shoot interview, apparently he and Joe have become good pals backstage since their fight over Joe's Scott Hall-no show shoot. Nash even said he had a long talk with Jarrett about "doing what's right for Joe in TNA". Nash could also put a good word in with HHH and HBK, too. That could help a little in WWE, you'd think. I say Joe needs to go where he can make the most money without beating his body up too much. That's what any of us would do, and that option will probably be WWE or TNA, and I don't think it'll be the "ROH/indies/Japan" dream option thrown out by some here. Even Bryan "Wrestling Jesus H." Danielson would probably love to be debating dueling feelers for $100,000+ per year, secure, guaranteed jobs in either company to work relatively safe schedules like Joe is/will, and we would too in Joe's spot.

Send him to WWE. I don't see him doing much but I'd be interested to see how he does. I could see him as ECW champ, but probably no higher than that.

Why rock the boat and leave the benefits of TNA, to be a fatty Mid-carder at WWE?

For the life of me, I can't understand the "he's fat" accusation Joe randomly gets around here. Sure, he's not musclebound behemoth, but fat? He's no "fatter" than someone like Umaga? Hell, he's probably less "fat" than Kip James.
Now, Big Daddy V. That is one fat (useless) bastard.

I could see him as ECW champ, but probably no higher than that. i see him burning out in WWE really quickly because of the schedule that's the biggest reason he'll stay in TNA, relatively little work with a big paycheck Hell, he's probably less "fat" than Kip James. Wha? I know this meant "smaller" size wise, but still come on dude couldn't you have used Road Dogg? Kip's been known for his great physical condition If anything I see him getting even FATTEr in WWE just so he won't look so out of place

I thought it was because the media and the WWF/E has bombarced us with Neo-Greek deities, that any error in the human body is considered fat. Ex: Britney Spears at last year's VMA's.

I think that Joe would be better used in Japan or ROH. WWE would make him look stupid.
