I have to say although The Dark Knight was awesome, but the hype and reaction to the movie is kind of ridiculous, I mean according to IMDB it's the best movie ever with is an utter joke but in my opinion it was the best Batman movie ever, not sure about best superhero movie ever Iron Man was awesome. But regardless I hope they make a sequel. Now for the next movie I hope they shift the focus to Batman eliminating organized crime from Gotham and at the same time has to evade the law till the end when like it was said at the end of TDK becomes the hero the people want. He battles a famed British Arms dealer than funneling weapons to the mob from Britain named Oswald Cobblepott that despises his nickname "The Penguin" and has a love of umbrellas. than have the Joker(I mean he could be recasted and really The Riddler isn't cool enough to be in the sequel) still cause chaos to the chagrin of the mob the police and Batman, but wont be the centerpiece of the movie. Oh and a new love interest socialite Selina Kyle who is secretly jewel thief "Catwoman" who does it for fun and is neither hero nor villain and just does things that benefit her own interests, oh and no getting super powers from cats nursing her to health. Anyway thats what I'd do and I want the movie to have more Batman and his quest to save Gotham and just have the villians being secondary to him and not dominate over him like in Dark Knight. You don't want the villains to overdominate him, yet technically, you have three villains in your proposed third film. And I know that the hype seems a little ridiculous, but this movie deserves it. Honestly, I've never seen such a reaction for a movie before, where it is almost cult-like to deem it a masterpiece, and we know the Oscars aren't gonna award it any points. So just sit back, relax, and enjoy the show that it the Aftermath Of The Dark Knight. And I don't get why people thought Iron Man was so great. It was good, but it wasn't great. Robert Downey, Jr. was good, but it honestly was nothing to sincerely rave about, like this movie.

I coulda swore that only one eye was open, and that eye was the one that really couldn't shut anyway. I think they left it ambiguous enough that, should they want him back for Batman 3, I'd have no problem with it. Then again, I thought Eckhart gave such a tremendous performance, I'd probably be willing to see him back even if it didn't make any sense whatsoever. That's what I thought to. I could swear that normal side Harvey's eye was shut.

I know it could seem that way but all the villians I named would have actually have small parts especially the Joker which would be a little more than a cameo. Selina Kyle would be a little bigger but no more than Rachel Dawes in BB or TDK just the new love interest, maybe set her up for something bigger in the next movie, where at the end of the movie she becomes Catwoman. The main villians honestly would be Cobblepott and Maroni or whatever mobster is running Gotham's underworld and maybe have it that Cobblepotts trying to get himself to run the whole underworld himself. I always loved the whole sane, sophisticated, dangerous rouge that is The Penguin and I'd like to see him done right unlike what Burton did to him, I mean raised by Penguins? I mean did Burton ever read anything about him?

I saw it on Friday, and I think that my system crashed from the awesomeness that is The Dark Knight.
I swear that Christopher Nolan must have invented a new psychological disorder: Post The Dark Knight Eustress Disorder (PTDKED). It's like The Dark Knight sucked all of the awesome out of the world and beat me into submission with it. You know what was in the brief case in Pulp Fiction? The stuff in the trunk in Repo Man? The Dark Knight.

I could swear that normal side Harvey's eye was shut. It was. I've seen the film four times now, so I can confirm this. I've talked to a lot of people about this, and here is my stance: I will obviously be super-stoked if they do a third movie, but I personally wouldn't want to try to top this one. Bale, Oldman, Caine, Freeman, Eckhart... I'm sure they'd all be amazing again... But Ledger could not be replaced as the Joker. He owned that character like nothing I've ever seen before. I actually wish Batman had just let the Joker fall at the end, even if it made less sense with his character because 1) it would've been just like Batman '89 and 2) because they wouldn't even have to face the dilemma of whether or not to bring back the Joker.

I mean did Burton ever read anything about him? Well, I like your idea that he's a British arms dealer, you could definitely bring in someone like Brendan Gleeson for a role like that. But recasting the Joker just seems kind of one-offish, if you know what I mean. There's no meaning if it's recast. I agree with you on the Burton interpretation. I liked the beginning, but the whole raised by evil penguins ruined Batman Returns for me when I saw it later as an adult. So I think having the Penguin establishing himself as a good investor in Gotham City would also be a good idea. And instead of Selina Kyle, I'd bring in Vicki Vale in first. In the comics, she's a pretty consistent character. And after the Halle Berry disaster that was "Catwoman", I never want to see Catwoman on film ever again.

I went to the first showing Saturday and immediately got back in line and saw it a third time afterward... Now I've seen it tonight and get the feeling the insomnia has returned. I could watch this movie on a continuous loop for a long time and not get tired of it.

If this is the Empire Strikes Back of the Series, then there are two important things to await.
The bad news: Batmite Ewoks...
The good: Billy Dee Williams is back!

I think that Bane could be the villain in the next film.
In fact, the entire film could be structured around Knightfall.
I forget who says it, but someone says in Bruce's midst that the Batman cannot fight crime forever and that he should be finding someone to one day replace him.
This could be a good tie-in to Knightfall as it can draw the contrast between Batman and Jean-Paul Valley's Batman.

Well, honestly, you didn't actually see Catwoman in the film "Catwoman." You saw a woman who dressed vaguely like a cat and use a whip, and be referred to as Catwoman, but that was NOT Catwoman. You can't really blame Selina Kyle for Patience Whatever-her-damn-name-was. Besides, we just got Two Face back from the Tommy Lee Jones Pit of Despair...and Ham. ;D

But honestly, because of this movie, this has the been the LONGEST weekend of my life.
