Really the IMDB Top 250 list is pretty respectable. It's no joke. One reason is the list votes are different then the total votes. Everyones vote counts on the main page (Batman has a 9.7 overall) but only people that have been there count on the Top 250 (Batman has a 9.5 on that). They do that to prevent people from just making new accounts to vote for a movie.

Just to touch on the topic of DKW after watching that movie, which was over 24 hours ago my mind has been racing about all the different psychological levels that film touched on. It's really screwed me up, my mind is still going a mile a minute. I cannot wait to the the film a 2nd time, and it's probably gonna be the first movie I watch 3+ times at the cinema. I'm gonna have to watch a few more times, but this may have equaled The Godfather as my favorite film Know exactly where you're coming from, it's THAT fabulous and surprisingly lived up to all the hype that it had going into it, and then some. It may definitely beat-out Shawshank as my favorite film, and thought that would never happen. Set up for a third watch on Tuesday afternoon, and after my second watch earlier today, just know won't be getting tired of this remarkable film anytime...ever.

I wanted to ask what you think they will do with Joker now? Will they recast him and if so who do you think should take on the role?
I think they could recast him because it wouldn't be hard to apply the same type of makeup to someone else but I'm not sure.
Also do you think they will bring back Harvey Dent as TwoFace. I mean sure TwoFace got about forty minutes of action but come on it just seemed like it was a little bit too forced and maybe something they should have saved for the next movie.

I wanna go see it in IMAX as well, but as it stands now, I have like negative 57 dollars in my bank, and like a dollar in my wallet, so, yeah, not gonna happen anytime soon. It's a miracle I even got to see it at all, and for now, that'll do. Although, depending on how tomorrow goes, I might just go see it again with my AMC Giftcard. Who knows though. I do know I'mma see it again at somepoint. Maybe I'll just re-read "The Long Halloween" in the meantime.

I saw this twice yesterday, and I'm going to see it again.
This was an exhilirating ride, and I have no complaints about the film save one that was completely unavoidable.
With the passing of Heath Ledger, it strikes me as ironic that his character survives, and yet Aaron Eckhardt's Harvey Dent dies at the end.
To me, Warner is going to have a tough time finding someone who can even come remotely close to Ledger's performance, but Eckhardt portrayed Dent/Two Face so well that it's a shame that he can't return for another film.
But everything else was fantastic. The last hour of the film, in which the Joker plunges the city into complete chaos, was epic, and I couldn't leave the theatre either time. I was completely glued to my seat.
And I may be the only one who appreciates this, but I'm glad the rumor that Lucius Fox was going to get killed was bogus. I like Morgan Freeman and he does this character so well. Pity he had to resign after helping Batman use his sonar device to scan the city looking for the Joker.

You mentioned the one about Fox, but I also think that the way that Harvey became Two-Face was completely off, and I thought something was mentioned about fear toxin and Scarecrow, which obviously never happened.

He said that he can't work for Bruce as long as that machine was around. Bruce told him to type in his(Fox's) name when it was all said and done. And he did. The machine destroyed itself, using 'Lucius Fox' as the detonator.

After a second viewing...(Spoilers)
I don't think two face/harvey is dead, I thought they just used Dent's death to cover up Two Face. I hope I'm right because I would kill to see more Two Face.

I have to laugh when I hear people complain about the voice that Bruce Wayne puts on when he is Batman.
Well there is a reason for that. Because if he talked normally as Batman someone one day is recognize the voice of the well known billionaire playboy.
And that voice is allot more intimidating then say talking like Mickey Mouse.

But, I guess he'd need to stay around. Only he could authorize the building of another Batmobile and keep it under wraps, I suppose.

I saw it yesterday, and i have to give my full applause to wb. That was a very brave movie to make. That movie wasn't trying to cater to lil kids or anything of that sort. They made a for real crime drama using characters from a comic book. Hopefully others will take note that you can do a serious comic book movie, and it be a success.

Great, great movie.
The only problem I had was catching myself not enjoying some scenes because they didn't use the footage we saw in the trailers. Like the "Why so serious?" scene with Gambol. They didn't use the take from the first trailer. I found myself dissapointed that they did that, but once I let go and relaxed, I enjoyed the movie more.

Only complaint was the under-use of "Why so serious?"

I have a little mini rant about this movie.
I am really tired of people comparing Heath's Joker to Jack's joker. Don't get me wrong I really enjoyed Heath's Joker. However to say one is better is a bit ludicrous. They may be the same character, but they are two different versions of that character. Jack's Joker was based on the 70'-80's version of the Joker who wasn't nearly as sadistic as the 1940's version of Joker. Which is what Heath's version is based off.
I enjoyed both immensely, but think that a lot of younger people aren't giving Jack enough credit. He was an incredible Joker as was Heath. I just don't think it's fair to compare the performances. They were both essentially playing two different characters.

I felt that considering how dark that movie was, they could have gone further with it but that's the writers fault. The other complain I have with Jack is that, like has been said, you never lose that feeling that you're watching Jack play the Joker, not that you're watching the Joker
