Some point to the Montreal Screwjob as the defining moment of the Attitude Era, others Stone Cold's first WWF title win. My question is, what would be the defining moment of this era?
My choice would be that time Braden Walker stood on the stage with his hands on his hips.

There really isn't one. Maybe Edge cashing in Money in the Bank for the first time? Or HBK hitting Hogan with the superkick? DX reuniting?

Now THAT would have been the defining moment of the era.

Man, I just tried to look for a picture of that time Braden Walker stood on the stage with his hands on his hips and gay porn popped up. Chris Harris really has fallen on hard times...

Benoit killing his family.
Leading to most wrestlers losing significant muscle tone, a more well defined WELLNESS program (I think the two may run hand in hand) And a more family friendly direction.
I think we're in a new era since that happened.
I call it the Oatmeal Era, but for no reason.

Braden Walker standing on the stage with his hands on his hips defined not only an era for WWE, but an era for my life as well. When I'm 80, I will like to think I'll look back fondly on the Braden Years.

Snitsky hitting Kane with a chair, causing him to fall on Lita, and miscarriaging her baby. As he declared, "It wasn't my fault!"

Finlay & Hornswoggle dancing in the ring. That defines this era for me, at the moment. Now if things get better, especially on SmackDown!, then I will say Jeff Hardy winning the belt at Armageddon.

Are we really in another era? I consider the past couple years a transitional period. Even with that great picture of Benoit and Eddie, I think the next era is about to hit. You have Cena and Orton growing every day, backed by great heels and faces alike. Not to mention the youth movement that is going on.

Seriously, it IS Braden Walker.
Wellness policy = Fat Chris Harris in a singlet TNA Representation WWECW Representation WWE lackluster character development Dead Crowds WWE hating non-developmental talent that make debuts Future Endeavors
All those things that have defined this era.

Fan: Todd, is El Dandy gonna win the Royal Rumble? Todd: No. Fan: Wait. Who are you to doubt El Dandy? Todd: Who are you? Fan: Your mom! Todd: My Mom? Go get a job!
I always loved that Todd told "his Mom" to get a job.

Carlito trying to chase Hornswoggle into a hole painted onto the wall.
Either that, or Murderous f*** killing his family.

Personally, I think the defining moment was Cena showing up and winning the Rumble last year. Even though he didn't really get the "superman" push for the rest of that run, it was still a slap in the face to all the workers who busted their asses for the previous six months (Orton, Jeff, etc), any of whom deserved to win it and get that title shot. But no... we're going to drop it into Cena's lap IMMEDIATELY upon returning.
I don't wish harm on anyone and don't relish in anybody's injury, but the show got infinitely more interesting when Cena was out with that injury. Orton REALLY stepped up his game in Cena's absence, and it pissed me off that WWE felt we needed "saving" by the almighty Cena.
And I even mark for Cena from time to time. I think he can cut an awesome promo, and I'm warming up to his in-ring style (which I think has gotten better compared to 3 years ago). But as soon as he's back, the show just HAD to revolve around him.
