...I chuckled and whispered CLAUDIO! to myself. Same thing with Bobby Dempsey hanging out in his "Survival of the Fattest" shirt, actually. I said "HEYY" quite loudly, my brother gave me a "what the smurf are you doing" look. Totally worth it though ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

The movie was OKAY
It is partly because of all the hype but IMO it did not deliver. Just didn't effect my emotions one way or the other.
It was interesting seeing some ROH guy but that was about it. Not bad. Worth a dvd rental maybe but that is it.

LOVED this movie. It was great seeing all the ROH and CZW wrestlers. could've eased up on the n00d scenes though.

I thought the nude scenes were needed because it shows what wrestlers do (apparently) when they're not in the ring.

Woooo. Finally saw it. Starts off a little slow but picks up near the middle. I enjoyed it. Very depressing but I had expected that.

It is Marisa Tomei for f***'s sakes! One of the hottest women ever, and for being 44, she has some nice boobs.

I saw it and I liked it, but I don't think it could have possibly matched my expectations otherwise. I think it'd be more fun for an open-minded non-wrestling-fan to see. That said, I've been deeply considering giving it a second viewing this week.

'Twas alright. I can see why it has Rourke and Tomei nominated for Oscars, but it did not hold my attention like The Dark Knight, and in my opinion, doesn't hold a candle to its contemporary like Rocky.
Although I do agree with the Ram, "Nirvana killed Rock and Roll".

That was the most depressing movie I've ever seen. Yet, it was amazing. And when I left the theatre, the sun seemed a little brighter and whatever problems I have in my life seem petty and inconsequential compared to The Ram's... Although I do agree with the Ram, "Nirvana killed Rock and Roll". While that was the point of his comment, I.....don't believe that was the exact quote he used. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

I'm sure your dad has seen all of that before. But come on, at least it's your dad and not your mom. That's awkward.

I just watched it... Great Movie!
My one question is at the end when he went to the top rope, jumped off then the screen went black and the movie ended, did he die? Or do you guys think something else?

Finally saw it tonight, and I can't lie: I teared up a little. For the first time in a long while, I actually got emotional at the movies. Beautiful tale, wonderful acting. I gotta say it felt very real, and the addition of all the actual wrestlers into the movie was a very good move, it added a lot to the authentic feel.
I give this one a 4.5/5 and pray that at least Mickey Rourke (I wouldn't mind Marisa Tomei winning either, but some of the other noms were perhaps even better) wins the Oscar for his part.
