Just watching Jonathan Ross and Mickey Rourke has said he will not be involved at Wrestlemania. He wanted too but his people convinced him not too.

There's a list out that claims to be the list of winners, and it says that Rourke wins the Oscar. The Academy have denied that's the list, though.

Vince is the head of the Academy, and doesn't like the leak! Unknown and unnominated Brad Pitt wins for Burn After Reading!

I would like to think that Rourke is a lock to win, what with winning a Golden Globe and a BAFTA, but I still always think back to "The Eddie Murphy Situation". Remember that? He was a lock for best supporting actor for his role in "Dream Girls". I mean, everyone thought so, at least. He had won a ton of other awards for the role previously(including a Golden Globe), but come Oscar night, everyone was shocked to see him lose. Now, I'd like nothing more than to see Rourke win, but Rourke is playing a far more contraversial role in a much more obscure movie than the other actors. I wouldn't be surprised to see Penn walk away with it. But in the end, it doesn't matter if he wins or loses. His performance will not change. It'll still be the same movie at the end of the day, and everyone involved should be proud that its actually being as accepted as it is. i recall something about him not winning due to the flaming pile of crap that was Norbit was released during the time when voting took place. Or that could just be bullshit. idk anyway, I just saw it last night, and thought it was f***in amazing. For some reason I had a problem with RoH booking the final match, though. something about that didnt seem right to me...idk. Great movie none the less

(superbump!) SPOILER: When he looked up towards the curtain and Cassidy wasn't there, my eyes began to water. I didn't cry, but my eyes welled up. It was so sad. Ram just gave a slight smile as if to say "I knew it". As though the last remaining person in the real world who could possibly give a damn about him had deserted him, thus proving himself right that nobody in the real world cared about him or loved him. Had he saw Cassidy's face right there, I feel maybe he would've climbed down from the turnbuckle and perhaps attempted some kind of normal life with her. Wrestling obviously was a placebo to hide the the pain and fill the gaps created by his failings in real life. On talking with my friends, it's interesting how people have two different opinions on Pam's leaving. Some feel she abandoned Ram because she knew she could never compete with his "other lover" (wrestling) and he chose it over her, thus she left dejected. Others feel she walked away because she grew to care about him and potentially love him, and it hurt her too much to see him in pain and getting hurt himself in the ring. Which side do you guys sit on? I dont' think she really leaves at the end. She just looks away and stops watching the match because she sees the pain that he is going through. I think symbolically when he looks up though and sees that she is not there it shows that she isn't really there for him. There is a lot of different ways to interpret the movie which is what makes it good. I like movies that challenge the viewer rather than giving a straight answer like a happy ending because that isn't really real or true to real life. That's how I read it too, that she didn't leave, but she just wasn't watching him. Then again... LOVED this movie. It was great seeing all the ROH and CZW wrestlers. could've eased up on the n00d scenes though. WHOA WHOA WHOA WHOA Someone's complaining about those scenes? I'm assuming you mean the ones involving Cassidy, as we all know Mickey Rourke's ass was an important plot point. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) Just finished watching it two minutes ago. Wow, It was amazing. The whole thing just incredible, great acting and I'm almost in tears. And also BOBBY DEMPSY WAS IN THE BACKGROUND OF ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT SCENES! I think the dents are just coming out of my girlfriend's arm after that scene. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) are we to assume he dies? i thought him continuing just meant that wrestling was all he had.. so he was not going to limit himself. i kinda thought he lived and went on being lonely. I wouldn't assume that. I mean, it's obvious he's having a heart attack, but that doesn't mean he'd die from it. I'm thinking he either died or survived the attack after getting rushed to the hospital, then settled into a relationship with Cassidy (where it goes, ahunno). My girlfriend saw otherwise. ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png) anyway, I just saw it last night, and thought it was snorkin amazing. For some reason I had a problem with RoH booking the final match, though. something about that didnt seem right to me...idk. Great movie none the less The RoH booking bothered me a little as well. Nothing explainable, it just felt off. Gotta hand it to them, though, it made total sense to have the climactic match at an ROH show. Their fanbase would have appreciated the significance the most, yes? Oh, and for the love of God SOMEONE SELL NIGEL MCGUINNESS A CAR ;D
