I think she's living off the opening feud with Trish and the licking of her fingers following the cooter grab at Mania. She hasn't done squat since then and, her work has gone downhill faster than anyone else in WWE. When WWE has women like Eve, Alisha and Maryse who are improving, while Mickie has lost a lot, it surprises me to see people freak out that she is being depushed. No diva has really done squat since then, nothing major anyway. She's obviously not in good shape right now, so decline in quality isn't exactly surprising is it? And out of those 3 divas you mentioned, I'd say the only one improving is Alicia, the other two, Maryse more so than Eve aren't. It surprises you that people freak out over depushes? Mickie has fans, fans are biased, they're bound to react negatively to a depush. Something that surprises ME is Mccool's push when she's about as over as a cock flavored lollipop. Mickie's at least over, and let's not get into a discussion about HOW over she is, it'll end uglier than one of Edge's spears. But she's not doing too good, so cooling off on her right now isn't unwarranted, I'm not saying that, I'm saying I don't like it because I'm a Mickie fan, and I'm biased. |

What surprises me is that if this was any other superstar or diva, people would be asking what took so long, popular or not. Hell, Cena went from one of the most popular guys both in ring and out on here to one of the most hated because he got worse, Mickie has avoided that and it surprises me. McCool has worked her ass off and, is one of the top Divas in ring so her push doesn't surprise me. If Mickie cared about he job, she'd be in shape. She doesn't seem to care, after every match she just has this "Oh well" look and that is it. With all that has come out about how she is mad about how she is/was being booked, she has no one to blame but, herself. Beth wasn't being used a lot but, she stayed in shape and still preforms well and is set up for something major on Smackdown. |

For me, it's largely about her enthusiasm and charisma. She charms me. I haven't paid a lot of attention to her lately, but several months ago, that's why I was happy to see her on my tv.

Mickie showed immense potential after the Trish feud, but fell way short. I could never look at her as attractive after THE pictures either.

I am a Maryse mark (like other for Mickie) so I will admit my bias there. She connected with me (metaphorically only quite sadly). As for Eve, it may be CT but, I don't know, it just seems like there is something there. Well see on RAW how it works out. |

I dont really care about WWE Womens wrestling or Mickie James, but the obvious answer would be that whatever her personality is in real life doesn't effect her ability to entertain or the quality of her work. About the only thing I can say about Mickie James is her fanbase creeps me out a lot of the time, and I was also tired of seeing everyone she wrestles blamed for her constant botches and sloppiness. She has looked like she could give a crap for a long time now and thats a shame. Considering women like Candice attempted to bust their ass to improve and recovered from injuries and stuff only to get released it kinda ticks me off to watch this supposed awesome womens wrestler who should never be criticized walk through the motions and botch every single week...and I cant believe I am sticking up for Candice of all people, but there ya go. |

She shouldn't be portrayed as some Godlike entity which can do no wrong, and yes, I'm sure there are people who do that. But she shouldn't be lynched at every singe turn she makes either. I'm attracted to Mickie also, but the length some people on here go to defend her is ridiculous.
Like, for example, the sheer number of people that have lined their defenses with comments like "She's a wonderful/nice person."
Do y'all have proof the other Divas are kicking puppies or clubbing seals? You're all basing your opinion of her based on her in-ring persona. For all we know, she could have "Triple H clout" and be running the Divas division with an iron fist.

Maybe if she gets in shape and stops botching all the time. McCool gets tons of hate on here for whatever reason but it cant be denied that she is a good wrestler. I never see Mickie get the hate she gets although she deserves it far more in my opinion. Last time I saw a Mickie match she was acting with a total lack of any professionalism during that Gail Kim match. |

She has the bodytype I like in a woman, and she's a decent worker (by WWE women's division standards). Since Trish Stratus left, she's been my favorite diva and I'd even go so far as saying she was a big part of the reason I watched Raw, because most of my favorite wrestlers are on Smackdown.
And I admit she's had a few too many botches lately, but people bag on her about her mistakes alot more than they do on someone like Melina, who I feel has always been really sloppy in the ring.
Or Gail Kim, who has been so bad in her WWE run, she seems like a different person than she was in TNA but she mostly gets a free pass from this board.

I liked her when she first debuted because she was introduced well and fit in well. I liked all the women on RAW in 2005 because they were used correctly, even women who weren't good wrestlers like Torrie, Candice and Maria were used well.
She was pretty, full of life, put effort into her character and wrestled pretty well. Her slow burning feud with Trish was great, although she did subject us to some of her "acting" (Mickie portrays a wrestling character well, but her backstage segments with Trish and her boyfriend Jack were awful- she's like the opposite of John Morrison who is good backstage but awful in front of a crowd, she's awful backstage but was good infront of the crowd). Her match with Trish at Wrestlemania was probably the best women's match at Wrestlemania ever, and it's still a shame about the botched ending.
For me, that's where everything went downhill. Her title reign was boring, and she did suffer from bad booking as she got ditched for the last ever Trish VS Lita. Her face turn was unconvincing and she went from being bubbly to just kinda chirpy. Her next title reigns were also boring, although she did have a good title match with Melina at Backlash. It was around this time that she swapped skirts for pants making her blend in more which isn't a good thing in wrestling. She kinda floated around for a while being boring and not putting as much effort into her character or ring work. Her feud with Beth was bland, although her title win was a decent match. Her title reign was boring though, and I was glad when she lost. Again she floated around for a while, then feuded feebly with Maryse for the Diva's title which she won in a bland match and went on to have a boring title reign (shocking!). The last few months she's put the least effort into her wrestling and looks kinda p'd off when she's in the ring.
I don't hate Mickie but I'm not really a fan of her's anymore. She doesn't look motivated, and I don't know if it's her character or just her but she looks p'd off when she's in the ring and I don't want to cheer someone who look's p'd off. The thing I don't like about her wrestling is that she's got the same moveset she had when she came in; she hasn't really changed it at all or shook it up. Trish was constantly adding more moves to her moveset, adapting moves, changing them. I liked her for that. The reason Candice became my favourite diva is because she was always trying new stuff. Melina constantly adds moves to her repertoire. Beth changes things once in a while. Mickie doesn't. She still has the DDT, which she has been performing AWFULLY for months. It's not her opponents fault either because it's not just Alicia, Maryse and Rosa taking it, Beth and Natalya have both recieved it and couldn't make it look good. I was hoping she would change it to the superkick because that looked ok.
