Don't listen to the haters. This is the best wrestling game that they have made since HCTP and I have barely played it yet. But I'm not exaggerating!
POSITIVE:
-The gameplay feels totally different, in a good way.
-Grapples are much more fluid and awesome.
-The AI is far less retarded than in previous years, I actually lost more matches than I won last night (2 out of 3) but that might just be me being shitty at the game because I just got it. Either way it's a step up, and the one button reversal system doesn't seem to be easier at all.
-The level of customization in this game is about as good as it gets outside of being able to change actual superstar outfits around and not just their colors.
-The presentation is just awesome. I'm so glad that they got rid of the lifebar and the little man that shows you and your opponent's damage. Actually being able to see you and your opponent's chest get visibly redder from each knife edge chop is a welcome addition too.
NEGATIVE
-Create a diving finisher isn't that great because it seems like you can't make anything that looks actually realistic. Screw this feature.
That's all I've got for now. Story mode is cool but it seems like it's going to be a pain in the ass when I actually try to make one, thank god I have a chat pad. Anyway, it's time for the slowest day of work ever! THIS GAME RULES

I noticed something while going through the CAS Road to Wrestlemania: the call name I picked for my wrestler was "The Rocker". After winning the Royal Rumble, Vince tells you that you need a makeover and you're given a new look (in this case, the result is what Brian Blair would look like if he was part of The Rockers). I wonder if that means the other call names get different outfits....

I actually have a question for anyone else that has the game.
How do you get your sounds and text to show up in CAS? Mind you, I haven't actually played a created story yet, but while editing a scene I put some booing in and some text commentary from Michael Cole but neither of them showed up as the scene kept repeating itself.
Do you have to actually play the story to hear/see your parts?

Must say, for the first time the Royal Rumble actually feels like the real thing.
Including the dreadful mid-match lull sadly but hey, it beats the hell out of years past.
Okay, my game just had Punk come out in both the 22nd and 23rd positions. Without being eliminated.

Should note that this is within Create a Story and you seem to be able to double up on people within it. Still really odd. |

Just picked it up from Best Buy, they have a special where you can get any WWE dvd for 5.99 except for Batista's new one.. selection was limited so I grabbed Saturday Night's Main Event. It was either that or Night of Champions/Breaking Point.

I will say this: from what I have seen, the Royal Rumble match actually looks like a Royal Rumble match for a change. They even have mostly all the correct entrance animations in there.

It might of already been brought up, but do they have Miz's Skull Crushing Finale?
Also, since one of my first orders of business will be a Chris Masters CAW, do they have a Full Nelson/Masterlock as a submission that can be a finisher? Also, for the hell of it, how about a sombrero?

Okay, a few things:
My epic ROH Invasion storyline is going to take a while. Took me about an hour to do just the first Raw. Chapter 1 is going to be 3 months long. This better be worth it.
No, if you have a different call name for your CAW during RTWM, you still get the same shitty outfit. I was pissed.
Once somebody on the 360 becomes a badass with the Paint tool, could you please do a good ROH logo? I tried...and failed miserably.
Used Threads to create Killer Tomatoes, and Team Canada (E&C, Jericho, Natty).

The Skull Crushing Finale is in, I saw it in a finisher video.
And this doppleganger thing gives me all kinds of clone story ideas for Story Mode.

I am thoroughly enjoying it so far. I was just lost for a couple hours trying out all of the new features. Create a story is all flavors of awesome and superstar threads really is addicting. Being a huge fan of 09 (my favorite of the series since HCTP) I recommend this for anyone with the same opinion. The game play is like 09, just moved around the controller a bit and it has lots of additions. I think people need to at least try it before they shit all over it.
Two thumbs up from this guy.
