Yeah, I picked it up today, and it's not exactly setting me world on fire. Some random thoughts:

-Who's bright idea was it to have the training school be the main menu? It's stupid! Leave the damn main menu alone!

-While some people look okay, some of the newer models look ugly. HBK himself is just plain weird.

-Playing the HBK ROWM, and goddamn did the match with JBL piss me right off. It's the game trying to get me to follow it's rules to let me finish, and it wouldn't let me goddamn finish until I let them him me with a chair. F*** that!

-Why was there a Quick time event in the story? Yeah, it wasn't actually quick, and I needed to press the button to continue, but still. Why was that there?

-Cole commentary is so erratic. When they replay the old Cole commentary, he's all excited, but the newer stuff is just monotone and boring. Ugh.


So far, not impressing me, but there's some stuff to go over that was interesting. CAW leveling seems a bit slow, but I don't know enough to judge.

BTW, I gotta test me connection for online, so anyone interested in an online match?

Yeah that ROH logo can be a bitch, which is odd because it looks so simple. I tried to do it in Fire Pro Returns, but also failed. Had to go with a custom one that looked nowhere near correct.

I haven't seen this confirmed elsewhere in this thread, so may as well chime in - just checked, and you do get 50 CAW slots.

Given I only expected 30, I am feeling a little better about the points system, then, since you get so many.

That, and most of the guys I have planned don't need much in the way of 3D parts anyway.

They never look black in the actual creation screen, yet when used in matches the black shirts usually (if not always) look black.

I always set them to look darker in the creation screen so I did not know that.

Wow, there are some great moves this year! Belly to Belly 6, Spinning Roundhouse 2, snapmare & Boot, legdrop bulldog, head block and Dragon Special are all moves I'm gonna use with CAWs.

I'm also really happy that more Struggle Submissions are in and that a lot of moves have both pin and no pin versions.

How close is the grid in this game compared to the FPW Mat editor? That might save some time, since there's still premade logo grids out there for FPWR.

I'm happy about it, too. It's something that was infuriating in past games, stuff like the Styles Clash being WORTHLESS in a non-pin match.
