Def looking forward to this episode.
This season as a whole has been their best in a long time.

You DO realize that that generalization includes you too, right? By virtue of being on the INTERNET and talking about WRESTLING on a FORUM....you are a part of the IWC. We all are....though I do hate the whole "hive mind" generalization. I am a part of the IWC, but I don't think EXACTLY like my fellow online wrestling fans. In fact, I would wager my opinions are far different from theirs. of course I do, I just have a sense of humor about myself Plus South Park generalizations are hilarious using fat internet guy will be hilarious, just because if they cut to clips of him doing what we're doing would be lolz.

It wasn't clear from your post if that's what you were going for, or if it was supposed to be one of those "This picture represents all of YOU....but not me, cause I'm above/apart/better than this." types of things. Cool beans.

They like wrestling, and maybe they're going to host raw. Just for effect Token kills him with GTS. Also the kids finding out it's fake would bring back so many memories of my world being stomped on from the moment I went online... OH MAN! IF Southpark rags on the IWC i'd mark. We get to see You DO realize that that generalization includes you too, right? By virtue of being on the INTERNET and talking about WRESTLING on a FORUM....you are a part of the IWC. I have a sinking feeling it'll just dip into preachy territory again.

So, the punchline is they find out MMA is better.

So, the punchline is they find out MMA is better. Now that you mention it, that would be a solid premise. The boys are all excited about how cool wrestling is, and they go home and try some moves on each other, crippling/killing Kenny. The parents freak out, any and all wrestling is banned in South Park, and hey guess what the parents all push as being better than that stupid, dangerous and phoney wrestling? UFC/MMA. After all, it's a "legitimate" sport that no one has ever been crippled while doing, so it has their full backing. The boys, however, rag on it because in their words, it's boring and everyone looks the same.

I'm willing to bet that Matt and Trey are relatively new wrestling fans, which is why they didn't do a show during the last boom period. In fact, the Triple H poster in last week's episode is the only wrestling reference from the show that I can think of.

Okay, this I'm curious about. So far both halves of the present season have royally sucked, but this could be fun. Yeah, except they haven't.

Just managed to watch it, managed to bypass a country filter. It looks, er...interesting. They could go a lot of ways with it, it's a shame they've already used the roid rage joke before with Jimmy.

I'd say that non-internet fans outnumber the IWC by at least 3-to-1. But judging by the clip, they don't seem to think much of "the average wrestling fan", seeing as how most of them appeared to be out of shape and slovenly.

I can't wait for the newz to hit after this episode about Vince hitting the roof with rage. Or being confused at WWE being the topic of a show he's never heard of.

I bet the clip is basically the first 2 minutes of the show. Then it leads into something completely different. You're going to be severely disappointed if you think they're going to make smarky insider references and jokes about wrestling for the whole episode.

Yeah, except they haven't. The last episode was the hardest I've laughed in a long time. The last episode when Butters was trying to convince the girls in class to "work for him", I was literally busting up, laughing-out-loud. I guess I sort of get when some people claim South Park isn't what it useto be (isn't at all, whatsoever), but its one of the few shows left on TV these days that actually makes me physically laugh.

Honestly, I'm not expecting a lot of it if only because of how bad this season of South Park has been counting so far (including the first half). I'll watch and it could surprise me, but the show's nosedived the past couple seasons. Nosedive or not, still a hell of a lot better than Family Guy and The Simpsons. I liked three or four episodes this season so far: The Pirate one, Fishsticks, Pinewood Derby, Butters Bottom Bitch. True, but then, I'm fairly sure QVC is more entertaining than the average episode of Family Guy and Simpsons these days. Still love American Dad, though. It's the one still-running animated show that's just plain gold. Admittedly, could use more Hayley... Anyway, will concede that Butters's Bottom Bitch was awesome, but I don't think I've liked a single other episode this season. Edit: Oh, right - wonder if the guest hosts will come up in any capacity.

Nor am I expecting any "Wrestlecrap tributes" or "IWC references", like so many appear to be.

I think, as others have said, the main jist will be the kids joining the wrestling team and getting mad that it's not "real" wrestling, and hating it. Not some long drawn out WWE episode that most people wouldn't get.
