Professional wrestling is like the grand opera or a fantastic theater production for rednecks.
Also, it's more about the talking and the rest of the bullshit than the fighting.
Pretty spot on!

I think it's a great commentary on pro wrestling at the moment.
Jerry Jarrett has described pro wrestling as Shakespeare for the illiterate. And really, how many people outside of high school and university, read Shakespeare. But, we definitely will watch wrestling.
It's also a commentary on how the term "Sports Entertainment" will never be engraved in society. I'm not sure if Matt Stone or Trey Parker are wrestling fans, but it seems that in general with society, the idea that pro wrestling is sports entertainment isn't something that's real.
I like how Vince McMahon is viewing the performances in the ring as what he perceives as wrestling, and it's actually a pretty accurate description. Because, it seems nowadays that if you have the look, more then actually being a good wrestler, you'll go much further.
I like how they built the whole, Cartman abortion thing, and at their big blow off show, one of the aborted fetuses comes back for revenge. Now, that's actually pretty good booking because they built the whole abortion thing with Cartman, and now, at the big show, he's finally going to have an abortion in the ring, and one of the fetuses is going to stop him.
It showed the importance in wrestling of crowd sympathy. While, some of the examples were extremely far out, sympathy isn't something that should be knocked. The wrestling coach at the end when he talked about his story, got instant sympathy from the crowd, because they could relate (dey took his jerb!!!!).
Anyway, Vince McMahon has really taken wrestling into a whole different direction and it's a shame that this is how it could be viewed, that the wrestling itself doesn't matter as much anymore. Anyway, I thought it was a great commentary on pro wrestling in general currently, and it was a great episode.
And yeah, they had some stereotypical wrestling fan jokes, but come on, it's important to have a sense of humour about stuff like that. Awesome episode.
