Token doning a CM Punk shirt made the episode.

It was... alright, I guess. They could have done much, much more with the subject matter. So, when someone is a good actor, fans will say he's a good wrestler, that's what this episode tried to tell us, right?

My opinion is that people on here are a bit disappointed with the episode because it mocks the fans of wrestling much more than it ever attacks the business. You just got your little feelings hurt that's all.
You guys are so thin skinned. If South Park had made fun of Vince and the "inside" stories of wrestling you would have loved it even if they ran it into the ground because you weren't being mocked.
South Park just had a very funny and good laugh at the expense of us wrestling fans. It was a great episode. My favorite part was when they transitioned from "dey terk his jerb" to "dey terk his derg!"

Meh. I mean, it was funny, but more like "funny but who cares?" All those jokes they've made about wrestling have been done before. I get it! Wrestling's like a soap opera. Amateur wrestling is a lot different from pro wrestling and looks very gay. And, wrestling fans are stereotypically rednecks who think it's real. These jokes have been done before. There's a whole layer of wrestling that can be satirized and commented on. I mean, you have the steroids, painkillers, the early deaths, injuries, grueling schedule, popularity of a wrestling getting to his or her head, Vince McMahon, etc. It basically could have been a funny version of "The Wrestler." Instead, they decided to do something an 1980s sitcom would have done. Now, I did laugh as it was a well put together episode. And, there were some good jokes, like Kenny's death, the wrestling coach ironically ending up getting hired by Vince after trying to take it down, and everyone leaving when the boys finally start fighting. But, it could have been so much better. Also, why do people still do the "fans who think it's real" jokes? It's pretty much common knowledge by now that everyone knows it's fake. The only fans who still think it's real are kids. Hell, there was an Academy Award nominated movie about wrestling that said it was fake! Enough with this s***! Waddah you maeean its fakeeeee?

My wife was watching the episode and said (in regards to the mocking of the fans): "Pretty damn accurate if you ask me."
Obviously got a good chuckle out of it, and it was a good episode if one does not take the mocking seriously.

As much as we hate the portrayal of wrestling fans, you have to admit that it IS a stereotype for a reason.

see, I don't get how this is making fun of wrestling fans at all
it was more making fun of how incredibly asinine the drama in wrestling can be and how people are not accustomed to actual wrestling in their wrestling shows thus the wrestling coach and cartman being addicted to abortions being the "best wrestling they've ever seen"

Sadly I just feel like that episode was Season 13 "filler" but it had its moments. It was everything I expected and still funny, it was funnier than I thought it would be especially when everyone kept calling the amateur wrestling "gay porn"

I had high hopes for the episode....it wasn't a crappy episode, but it could have been so much better. This.

I didn't see myself in those "fans", so I wasn't offended at all, I just didn't feel it adresses me or anyone I know. Even with the "dumb fans" they could have done much more, like portray them as blood-thirsty or showing them using wrestling mannerisms in real life, but that was kind of one-dimensional. A "diva" that's hooked on abortions is actually a cool idea, I guess we'll have to wait a few years before WWE touches that... ;D

It had its moments but all in all it was lame. I would have been rather bored with it if I weren't a wrestling fan.

Goddam, I love how it went from being kinda about wrestling to the whole thing being about dramatics. And everyone in the crowd getting turned off as soon as the boys start fighting with each other. Flippin' magic! But boy, were the voices really off for Vince, Edge, and Cena. Hilariously off. I did like the ending joke. The kids finally do the most important aspect of wrestling, actually fighting; and everyone just gets pissed and calls it stupid. That was good comedy.

I haven't watched it all, but I'm starting it now. So far, I'm enjoying it. And I also like Token dressed up as R-Truth.
