ECW could actually be a real good fit for him, especially if he works tweener or turns face, rather than heel. I agree that there are too many heels on that show right now. The problem is that Carlito gets whiny and depressed whenever he has to be a face. (The only reason he didn't when he was teaming with Primo is because, well, Primo's his brother.)

Undertaker and Kane nearly maimed each other on multiple occasions, and they still tag when the occasion hits. Like your logic, but here is where the bear eats the honey: Undertaker and Kane are beloved on the roster by the fans. Almost no one gives two craps about the Colons.

I read a report today (on Gerweck.net) that Carlito has been off TV for the past couple of weeks because creative has nothing for him. Urm, what? Carlito has always been pretty much over enough to mix it up in the mid-card title picture, so why couldn't he be inserted in that multi-man feud? It'd be easy enough to do: say that he's claimed tag team gold with Primo but is sick of him and sick of tag teams, so he wants some singles gold. Then, conceivably, you've got Carlito, Kofi, Swagger, Bourne (if they elevated him from constant JTTS), potentially Primo and The Miz in that mid-card group. It'd be easy enough to have between two and four guys feuding for the title, like we've had recently, while others are always involved or competing for the number 1 contender spot. Not that difficult, is it? Carlito was in the US title feud. He jobbed for two weeks, essentially eliminating him from it.

They really should send him to ECW. That show does wonders for seemingly dead careers.

I hate that phrase.
Its your f***ing job to come up with something for these guys to do. It says CREATIVE IN YOUR JOB TITLE.
BE CREATIVE.
Imagine a television writer telling actors on a show that. Only in wrestling.

Kenny Bolin said it best when it comes to creative having nothing for certain talent. When Matt Morgan got let go, the excuse was creative had nothing for him. Well, Kenny said, "fire creative".
Carlito is a well known talent within WWE, he may not be the very best, but he certainly can put on some great matches when needed. He and Primo were a great tag team, and were ripping it up with Miz and Morrison. Fire creative. Well, with Stephanie, she's the head of the field, and she's in charge of creative. You can't fire her, she's the boss's daughter. So basically, it's a situation where Carlito's f***ed, and despite his talent, it's irrelevant how many great matches he can put on, because all that matters is what creative thinks.
I mean, god damn, they've been doing a bunch of trades recently, just trade him to Smackdown or something, and feud him with a hot up and coming babyface. I just listened to Jim Cornette's guest booker, and things don't have to be complicated in order to put on great television. He's the veteran, he's come back to Smackdown, first he's going after John Morrison for the IC belt, then he's coming after the Undertaker. He has a few matches on Smackdown, wins them, then comes across R-Truth and Truth beats him. So now, Carlito's mad, Truth got in the way of him being a success, and he's gonna get Truth for that.
Now, I just looked at the Smackdown roster, and they are a bit stacked on heels. But, you can get certain people over in different ways and the trades don't hurt. Now, I don't want to do too many trades, because it waters down the whole concept of the brands, and no one becomes established brand stars.

Normally, I'd side with the wrestler in this situation but, Carlito is known for being a little bitch and half assing when he is getting pushed so, hey, turn about is fair play.

Why does creative have nothing somehow mean a wrestler can't just go out there and wrestle? They've had nothing for Charlie Haas for years, yet he can always find a match to work in

Carlito wanted out and was ready to sign the papers for his release, and WWE begged and pleaded for him to stay. Why the hell did they do that for if they arent gonna use him?

Why does he have to have "something"? Why can't he just have a match every week? Or y'know, have him feud with Bourne or someone else who isn't up to much.
'Tis not rocketry science, folks.

This is like the time they randomly split up Cade and Murdoch only to put them back together a few months later with no real explanation. The splitting up of The Colons royally pissed me off because there was literally NO reason for it...like, NONE, whatsoever. They split up a tag team just for s***s and gigs. And they did the old 'Partners accidently hit each other and one betrays the other even though there are dozens of people backstage and the match is repeated for a week on TV and online' skit. Edit: And can I mention again one time when this happened, CARLOS COLON SR was backstage. Their dad...who, in kayfabe, said NOTHING when Carlito slapped Primo in the face.

I never cared for the guy. If he leaves, he can go back to his dad's promotion or something.

Obsession with Hispanic demo? That's the only possible reason I can think of. Probably the biggest factor as the Hispanic demographic takes up a pretty big chunk of the viewing audience. True they have Mysterio, but when he is injured what do they do?

I've always thought of Carlito as Razor Ramon minus the cool theme. And the size. And the charisma. And the talent. And with even worse hair. Whoa, now... Are you saying Razor Ramon had bad hair?

The only time I've ever enjoyed Carlito was his tag team with Primo, he's not interesting or credible as a top singles star.
