I read a report today (on Gerweck.net) that Carlito has been off TV for the past couple of weeks because creative has nothing for him.
Urm, what?
Carlito has always been pretty much over enough to mix it up in the mid-card title picture, so why couldn't he be inserted in that multi-man feud?
It'd be easy enough to do: say that he's claimed tag team gold with Primo but is sick of him and sick of tag teams, so he wants some singles gold.
Then, conceivably, you've got Carlito, Kofi, Swagger, Bourne (if they elevated him from constant JTTS), potentially Primo and The Miz in that mid-card group.
It'd be easy enough to have between two and four guys feuding for the title, like we've had recently, while others are always involved or competing for the number 1 contender spot.
Not that difficult, is it?

I read a report today (on Gerweck.net) This is news? When was the last time Carlito was in an actual storyline or angle? His partnership with and then betrayal of Flair 2-3 years ago? No, winning the belts with Primo doesn't count, and their predictable post-breakup feud never went anywhere. |

They apparently have nothing for Primo really either, outside of his random matches on Superstars.

They really thought that through and planned hard obviously.

Undertaker and Kane nearly maimed each other on multiple occasions, and they still tag when the occasion hits.
Honestly, with a little creative tweaking, they could put the brothers together as a tag team again. Though, they'd probably have to be heel.

I don't really like Carlito anymore anyway so its not horrible news for me, but yeah breaking up the Colons was not a good move by WWE. OK it was damn right stupid.

Obviously, nobody here knows the real story of what's going on backstage, but Carlito showed, at least at his debut, that he can be very entertaining on the stick and pretty good in the ring, but he hasn't set the ring on fire in years and I honestly can't remember the last promo he cut. I don't know, he might be a lost cause. Shelton is at least trying to make a go of it on ECW. |

This is like the time they randomly split up Cade and Murdoch only to put them back together a few months later with no real explanation.
The splitting up of The Colons royally pissed me off because there was literally NO reason for it...like, NONE, whatsoever. They split up a tag team just for shits and gigs.

Another good move would be to put him on ECW, now that Rosa's there.
Granted, ECW is kinda over-infested with heels, but Tyler Reks can just do extra-jobbing duty.

It's kind of curious that a wrestler will often be released after the writers draw a blank on what to do with him or her, when it's the writer's job to dependably generate creativity.I've got my own opinion on Carlito, but newz or otherwise, I'm tired of hearing this common canard ("we don't have anything for you") thrown out. |

ECW could actually be a real good fit for him, especially if he works tweener or turns face, rather than heel. I agree that there are too many heels on that show right now.
