I've been thinking about this. Does anyone have any imput? No one. For everything he's given the WWE, why not let him be undefeated at Wrestlemania?

Alright, you guys are going to call me crazy, but I'll explain my pick:
Nigel McGuinness, WrestleMania 25
Yes, someone who is not even in WWE now would be my pick. No, it's not from getting a hardon due to someone technical ability.
Nigel McGuinness, first of all, has something that Vince likes - good size. He's about 6'1" and has a pretty good physique, and I'm sure he could put on 10 to 15 more pounds of muscle without a problem.
Nigel, as said, can wrestle his ass off as well. He can help many opponents look credible, and I'm sure by WM 25, he could more than handle himself with a mid to late 40s Undertaker (that is not a shot at Taker; I just don't see him having much left in the tank by then.)
Nigel can also cut a promo that would be perfect for WWE. He's funny, he can be arrogant, and carries himself comfortably on the mic.
Nigel also knows how to play a chickenshit heel using cheap tactics extremely well. See a good portion of his Pure title reign in ROH if you do not believe me.
Nigel also has a unique look. Who else has all of their hair sticking up completely straight like they've been zapped with electricity?
Whether it'd be clean or unclean, I could believably buy seeing Nigel McGuinness being the guy to first defeat Undertaker on the biggest stage of them all in 2009.
Now, as to how to build up to this showdown in a couple of years, somebody will have to pay me to sit down and come up with a logical and creative storyline. I will not be doing it for free, especially since people who can't creatively hold the jockstrap of 99 % of all of us on here probably get paid five or six figures annually.

No one will end the streak.
Taker won't lose to an up and comer at WrestleMania and there would be no point having an already established star ending his "record".

Yeah, Hogan will beat him.
I'm sure that Survivor Series 1991 loss still irks him

Yea, no one.. at least at the moment. When I looked at your avvie, I immediately had a vision of Hernandez border-tossing Undertaker. I would explode if THAT happened.

Remember that awesome match that Jeff Hardy had against the Under-biker, taking him to the limit? I heard the E had big plans for Hardy which is why they brought him back. It would be a hell of a storyline to have them feud for three months in some way of another, with Taker and Hardy doing some back and forth before the blow-off of Hardy beating Taker at Mania. That would propel Hardy straight into the main-event.
I know it won't happen, but it would be cool if it did. Are you listening Steph? Quit booking what I expect and start booking stuff like this.

Kane or Edge.
If not, nobody. Taker deserves to go out on top.

Orton should have done it at WrestleMania 21. It could have gotten his whole Legend Killer moniker over as a legit claim and not just a catchy nickname.

He was supposed to. IIRC, he had an injury shortly before WM and needed time off. They changed the ending to avoid giving this huge rub to someone who wouldn't be present to capitalize on it.

I think Taker keeps this one until he is completely ready to walk away, and then you give it to the next Hogan/Rock/Austin who is there. Unfortunately, to Stephanie that will be some 12 foot tall guy who cant walk and sounds like he has a face full of marbles, and all the charisma of a dead three toed sloth.

If Undertaker ends the streak after 2010, then he may as well not lose it at all. By then, it would be expected for "Old Man" Taker to lose a lot of steps. That's why nowadays it's not too difficult to believe Flair jobbing on a regular basis. Undertaker needs to end the streak while he still has plenty of gas left in the tank, because that would give the winner much, much more credibility. I posted a link before about this, here it is again: oratory.rajah.com/index.php?archive=3055The fact is that whoever would beat Undertaker at a WM, as long as the wrestler is not a joke, would be all set for the rest of his career. To me, it would actually be far bigger honor and achievement to defeat Undertaker at WM within the next few years than it would be to win the WWE championship at WM.

In actuality, I cant see anyone on the roster who deserves that kind of rub right now. Maybe eventually, but not now.
