I pick Edge since much like Undertaker, he is undefeated at Wrestlemania and has won some memorable WM matches (the one vs. Foley this year, Money in the Bank, TLC2) and is still relatively young and in decent shape (he seems to be fine following the neck surgery from a couple years ago) so will be around for a long time and has proven to be a quality heel and a good draw.

You all are making too big a deal about a worked record in a fake sport. If you people were in charge, Hogan would have never beaten Andre. There is no reason not to use the record to get somebody else over.

to get some one over, it should be done. they need someone who will be a top guy for the WWE. someone that it couldn't hurt to give the rub to. if it were to happen it should be his retirement. BUT NOT A RETIREMENT MATCH everyone sees through those. first they know someone is "leaving" and if they do lost you will see them a few weeks or months later. let it be his retirement from the ring. just to walk away quietly. who do they want to give the rub to?

I like the Hardy idea, but I'm a HUGE fan of the Cena idea (and I'm not that big of a Cena guy).

NO ONE. Seeing him build such a massive streak has been great to watch. If they ruined it now, it would tarnish his whole legacy.

A few years ago I would have said Kane easily but now I feel his time has passed. As for Edge, this guy doesnt need to beat Taker,he has already has the heat he needs. I dont think anyone should and let him retire with it.
If they did let someone end the streak it needs to be someone they can actually use and turn into a mega star and not just someone who would fade away because that would be such a waste of the undefeated streak!

I vote that nobody should break the streak. Once the streak is broken, then it's gone forever. Rather than have someone break the streak and give that one guy a push, they should keep the streak alive... have several contenders try to break the streak... thus giving many different guys a rub by putting them on the biggest show of the year with one of the most popular wrestlers ever.

NOBODY SHOULD BREAK HIS STREAK!
If they can ignore the time honored tradition of passing the torch by making Trish Stratus retire woman's champion, I think that leaving Taker's streak flawless is the least WWE can keep for his legacy

But Who??? Who needs that kind of rub who is actually worthy of getting it? It has to be someone who will be on top for a long time to come. The only 2 people right now that I see with that ability are Cena and Edge, and they don't need it. So I ask again, who is worthy? It should happen, but for the right guy.

If Cena ended Taker's streak I think that would about do it for me with WWE.

it wont happen until he is retired, and a legend. wait a few years after he is done with an active schedule, which i thought had already happened. have some young up and comer challenge his retired old self to a match and it will break the streak. but it wont do anything for the new guy., plus by then taker won't be needing his spot protected
