I could see how exactly that went down. Snyder was watching SportsCenter and sees the highlights of Lloyd's circus catches when he grabbed his phone and told the GM "SIGN THAT GUY NOW!" before looking at his stats and discovering he was a mediocre to poor WR at best and just had a string of crazy catches. Yet he makes catches like this Nice to see the Brandon Lloyd fan make a tribute for him. It inspires me to get on that Reno Mahe vid.

Might want to throw David Beckham and his humongoid multi million dollar deal to not play and bring zero people to the gate for American soccer. They were hoping for a Pele-type response. Problem was, Pele was a tremendous talent to watch. He could do crazy stuff that few could. Beckham is a good football player, but nothing flashy or remarkable or special. He's mostly famous for being famous.
Still his team made the MLS cup. Which will be played* this sunday. *=Endorsement paid for by ESPN. No, I think he's mostly famous because he's the hsuband of:

Nate Clements.
$80 million over 8 years, with a $22 million guarantee.

Denny Neagle signed with the Rockies for five years and $51 million. What did the Rockies get out of it? A 17-19 record and 5.31 ERA over the 2001 and 2002 seasons. And only 7 games in 2003 thanks to injuries. None in 2004 and being let go before 2005 and signing with Tampa Bay (and never pitching for them.)
Then he married a whore and got arrested for it, got a DUI, and was named in the Mitchell Report.
All in all...TRAINWRECK.

The Indians signed Travis Hafner to a four-year, $57 million contract, after his shoulder fell off. They could have signed CC Sabathia to an extension instead.
Dur.
