I think pretty much everyone here hates Rulk, right? I don't hate him. I'm not a fan, but I don't hate him. Then again, I like Way's Deadpool, and that's a slap in the face to the history like Rulk is, according to Kroot.

slap in the face is a little harsh. disappointing is a better description. for all the toilet humour and violence of Fabian Nicieza and Joe Kelly's runs with the character, they gave him depth. Way's, by comparison, seems like some too-zany caricature. kinda like classic Homer Simpson versus current Homer. you could make the same argument about Bendis' approach to the entire Avengers franchise.

I'm probably the only person who likes Superboy Prime. Granted All I've read that feature him are Infinite Crisis & Sinestro Corps War, Still I like him No, no, I liked him too. Once again, it's Countdown that made things go bad. But then again, a lot of things went bad in there, and he was basically just another victim of it. Where the writing of Superboy Prime went wrong, IMO, is that the allegory stayed bitter, never gaining redemption. He became a caricature of himself in Countdown.

to be fair, I don't think I'd ever be able to buy a Superboy-Prime redemption story. he violently killed numerous superheroes and villains, and that was even before Sinestro Corps war. hell, DC had to pull the "brainwashed and batshit" card with Hal Jordan, and he was a very popular character, even with casual fans. and SBP didn't exactly have the kind of excuse Jordan did, he just had a cosmic suck attack and never apologized.

I think that the "never apologized" part would have been a good first step to his redemption. Let me ask this: just how many non-supers did he kill? It seems that he mostly killed supercharacters and not civilians. Granted there is one glaring example: the planet Thanagar. I'm not saying that he could be redeemed in one go, but I think that it would have been an interesting, ongoing story. But alas...

And then there was Legion of the Three Worlds which was just terrible to which all so slid his character down the stupid slope.
Though I do wanna see more of whats gonna happen to him after reading Adventure Comics #4.

That being said, I haven't been keeping up with comics for quite some time, much less SB-P, so... Adventure Comics?

Yeah, new title, mainly a Kon-El Superboy title for issue #4 and #5 it's going to be about Prime and him dealing with BL Alexander Luthor that's traveled to his Earth. Prime is still a douchebag and his parents are utterly terrified of him but he spends most of his time on the DC boards defending himself and bitching till Alexander shows up and wants to eat his heart seeing how SBP has so much rage.
And Adventure is a good title anyways. Though issue #3 with Kon and Tim reignited my shipping habits with those two seeing how Tim is mister surly pants and Kon is mister happy goofball.

It's things like Blackest Night that make me wish that I had not switched to trade paperbacks, but I do think it's for my overall benefit. *shrugs* Oh well.

Blackest Night itself isn't that good at all, but the tie-ins are pretty good. Hell it's the only time in........... about five years there's been a halfway decent Titans story.

Blackest Night is okay. it's one of those "will read better in trade" stories. then again, that's largely true of everything Johns writes.

Basing it on the various universes he destroyed in countdown, I'd say the number of civilian kills is roughly... 543,234,667,546,546,467,665,640,000,001.

So I take this thread is about villians that have X-Pac heat/hate, not real heat/hate. You are correct sir. These are the villains that you find yourself saying one or more of the following: Oh gawd, not this loser again, how many times do they have to use him? Gah!! Why doesn't the hero just (insert really simple battle tactic the hero NEVER uses against hated villain here) and be done with this moron? Oh boy, (insert hated villain here) is back! I wonder how (insert beloved hero here) is going to job to him in this story arc? ARGH! I hate this villain! His motives make no sense, his powers are weak, he's boring, and I can't stand him/her!! *Sigh* Didn't some intelligent BETTER writer kill this guy off? Oh good, now entire groups of super heroes are jobbing to this villain. How much longer are they going to shove this character down my throat??

The High Evolutionary for me. I never saw what the big deal about him was. He never got an action figure either. Toad and Black Tom Cassidy got an action figure!!!!!!

I'll throw Krona into the mix. His motivation is really dumb and he is always ridiculously overpowered.

He is the guy to go to for DNA manipulation and the guy for Celestial Information. Problem is no one wants to do anything with him or Counter Earth for some reason. Same thing with Kang *Except it looks like something may happen with him in Guardians of the Galaxy*. One for me that I'm sick of seeing, Red Skull. Give Cap someone else to go against please. If Skull had died back during Acts of Vengeance when Magneto buried him I would have been happy.

As for Skull I always wanted Crossbones to kill him and take his place
