And right on cue...
Far worse than what Eduardo was accused of. Ngog really should be banned for that.

Take it Liverpool were lucky tonight then, given the replies in this thread? I was watching the Barnsley/Sheff Utd match myself.

Eddy grazing Boruc's thigh whilst falling over him shouldn't equate a penalty. Excellent play from Birmingham for keeping a point. Momentum and being away from home could off caused a collapse. But yea, you want to know why pretentious Rugby fans hate football, point them at that cheating **** N'Gog.

He'll get off scot free.

Forgot to post after the City game so here's my thuoghts now.
I went and had awful seats, very bottom row on the bottom tier. Did mean I could join in in giving that arse Bellamy a bit of grief when he came over to take corners though.
Superb match but I actually feel we warranted the win. 2-0 up through a clear handball for a penalty, and a superb 2nd goal. City's first and only attack of the 2nd half, deflected shot, long range punt by Wright-Phillips was going miles wide but bounces off ex-City man and THE most unlucky player I've ever seen in my life Stephen Jordan, and into the net.
City then catch us off-guard early in the 2nd half and we're 3-2 down. They had a fair bit of play and could've killed us off but Adebayor didn't get onto the cross. Then Nugent came on and the whole team lifted (as often happens when he comes off the bench). Nugent's corss headed back down by Fletcher for Kev McDonald to get his first Premiership goal. He's been chronic in his other sub appearances but he took his goal very well on Saturday.
Could even have won it in injury time, Nugent broke through on goal but Toure got the interception in the nick of time.
Had we gone into the break still at 2-0 I think we'd have won, possibly a 3-0 or 3-1 win as City looked hopeless in the 1st half. Disappointed, but I'd have taken a point away at City before the match without question, and to score 3 goals away is always a boost.

I hate that, I got soaked in the seats below pitch level at Upton Park a few years ago, it's even worse if a steward gets in the way. Anyway on another topic it's interesting that Forest and Doncaster are going to try an unsegregated family stand. Do you think it will work and become more common ? I know Fulham have something similar. Nottingham Forest will be joining forces with Doncaster Rovers later this month to launch a ground-breaking scheme designed to integrate opposition fans.
Supporters of both clubs will have the chance to buy attractively priced 'family tickets' for the 'T' Block section of the Brian Clough Stand for the game on November 28. www.nottinghamforest.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10308~1870567,00.html

I'd love to see that at an Old Firm game Re-picking up the diving issue Kevin Kyle has said he'd dive for Scotland if it got them a penalty.................Diddy, glad he barely plays for Scotland Also its not looking good for Dean Ashton, hope he recovers, never want to see a player retire young

It's very real and very sad when players have to retire young.

That's terrible news about Robert Enke.
BBC reports:
Germany and Hannover 96 goalkeeper Robert Enke, 32, has died after being hit by a train, police have confirmed.
The German football federation (DFB) said in a statement: "The German team has learned of the death of Robert Enke with great shock.
"National team coach Joachim Loew and manager Oliver Bierhoff said: 'We are all shocked, we are speechless'."
Enke played eight times for Germany and also for clubs Benfica, Barcelona and Borussia Moenchengladbach.
He made his international debut aged 31 and became Germany's number one keeper after Jens Lehmann retired from internationals at the end of Euro 2008.
Enke had missed Germany's last four matches with a virus but returned for his club at the weekend.
Loew had indicated that Enke was in pole position for the number one jersey at next year's World Cup finals in South Africa.
Enke's daughter Lara died in 2006 of a rare heart condition when she was just two. He leaves behind his wife, Teresa, and an eight-month-old daughter the couple had adopted earlier this year.
Dr Theo Zwanziger, president of the DFB, said that the football community in Germany "are deeply distressed and in mourning".
He added: "All our sympathy goes to the wife of Robert Enke and his family."

I forgot to say it in my post, but it sucks. 32 is no age to go at all. And it sounds like he was just hitting his prime. He's had a hard old time but he's always been quality. It's odd, I can't remember the last active footballer who died. Hopefully, that's to do with the fact that it's a rare occurence, rather than my ignorance.
It's sad. R.I.P, man.

Just shows there is more to life than football. Enke was Germany's number 1 and set to be for next summer's World Cup, which would have been his first tournament as number 1.
But clearly his personal life wasn't as rosey as his professional career seemed to be. I can't imagine what it must be like to lose a child so I'm not even going to criticise him for anything. Truly a sad end to what looked like a promising future for this player.

Enke suffered from depression for years from what is surfacing now. He feared for his adopted child to be taken away, was afraid of disappointing others...
It's rough. Hannover is my favourite club, I was born there, lived there for 20 years, and since I enjoyed football, I was an avid 96-supporter, being in the stadium for many, many matches. It's just...rough. It hurts.

It reminds me of the stick Stan Collymore got when he suffered from depression and John Gregory just said he should pull it together. Trescothick had similar reactions when he pulled out of a test match due to depression, although that was mostly in the media. There may be an issue with the culture of sport that stops players getting help.
I'm not saying that's true in Enke's case, even with help his personal circumstances were more severe than most of us can imagine.
I just mean to say that hopefully the next player to say they're suffering from depression get treated with compassion and respect rather than ridicule.
