I feel a little sick. Not like an angry sick, but like my stomach is hollow.
We were so close!!!
Augh!
They just had Trappatoni on, he summed it up best with his broken English it's a 'bitter evening'.

Anyone got the NFL Network?
I might bother to check out the Dolphins/Panthers game. The 49ers/Bears game was technically a good defensive battle, but those offenses...yuck.

That was a disgrace but I suppose that's what FIFA want, anything to get the bigger club through, I'm just glad the seeding didn't work with Russia.
I hope Given is still around for the next world cup he deserves to be in one.

Having looked at the likely rankings after this week, looks like England will make the top seeds, but only just if they decide to put South Africa in the top seeds as hosts.

And England will lose again. I wonder what event would cause the apocalypse: England winning the World Cup again, or an Englishman winning Wimbledon again.

Well, that was truly a disgusting decision.
I understand mistakes can be made but FIFA need to look at two things...
1) The Possibility of replaying the game.
2) Video replays.
Ok, so there's no chance of the first happening and as I said mistakes can happen. But as long as the decisions are made by humans, there is room for error. This is why replays are necessary.

DiBiase, are football judges as stubborn as baseball purists over that?

I'd forgotten that, oh well I can still be annoyed Doyle didn't make it although he was terrible in the last two games.

DiBiase, are football judges as stubborn as baseball purists over that? Over what? I don't know that much about baseball anyway.

It's almost certain that Platini and Blatter won't do anything about it. The irony is that if it was the Europa League, the goalline official would have seen it. But since no-one in the Europa League likes that system, it would have got nowhere near anything as important as a playoff for a place in the World Cup anyway. FIFA and UEFA are too scared to implement goalline technology because they want to save money and will always tailor it so that the big boys get their way. Because you know if that had been Robbie Keane who had handballed, the ref would have disallowed the goal and sent him off.

It works in rugby and cricket without slowing the game down too much. It actually adds a bit of excitement to it all.

Except for pretty much everywhere in the world outside of America.

Besides Basketball of course, and thats an AMERICAN sport that's caught fire globally. Love real football, but its not the easiest sport to understand when you watch it for the first time.
