Game's getting nuts now. Honduras got a PK in the 85th minute off a handball but it was missed badly over the top. He "Baggio'd" it.

And with that, Northern Ireland need to: 1. beat Czech Republic 2. hope San Marino BEAT Slovenia 3. have a 7 goal turn around In conclusion: we're out. We just need to focus on clinching 3rd place and trying to help out ranking ahead of the Euro 2012 qualifiers. I also have a question for the posters here. Now, due to the Good Friday Agreement, players from Northern Ireland can opt to play for either Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland. This is because you can get an Irish passport here or a British passport (or both), thus for example, Darren Gibson playing for ROI. Now, if your passport is all that is needed, does this mean that uncapped English/Scottish/Welsh players can play for Northern Ireland? They hold a UK passport, so does the rule work the same way? And also, if so that'd mean people like Manuel Almunia and Carlo Cudicini could play for Northern Ireland. Can anybody offer any words of wisdom? I don't believe it works the same way for England/Scotland/Wales and Northern Ireland, no. My dad would've been eligible for an Irish (republic of Ireland) passport, and as such I would have too, but he would have had to apply for it before his last direct Irish relative died. As he did not he isn't eligible for one and neither am I. I think it's similar for football, regarding the Republic and Northern Ireland and eligibility- you need a direct Northern Irish relative (Parent or grandparent) to play for Northern Ireland.

I also think there is a "Gentleman's Agreement" between the home nations about who can be selected for the national team. Such as the citizen rule about foreign players have residency and then a Bristish Passport eg Almunia for England and Nacho Novo for Scotland. So answer your question I have no idea!

So I guess that ends Manuel Almunia's chances of playing for England.

Jensen for England NOW. Better than Green and Foster that's for sure. I'd say better than James & Robinson too but that's more debatable.

Just to confirm that the USA have qualified as well. I'm not surprised, they're the greatest team in the universe after all. Millwall continue their journey towards the 2011 Champions League by robbing Swindon of a win, I can feel you all cowering in our presence! The race for the League One title is surely one involving 10 horses.

I don't want any player not born in England or with no English parents playing for England.
It would be terrible if Almunia or Jensen played for England.
Oh and Red Lion USA aren't the best team in the Universe. If they bothered to actually try though they surely would be.

Rumours suggest that yesterday's England internet PPV did around 500,000 buys, many of them bought on the day.

The guy said that the only reason USA weren't World Champions was because they didn't like "Soccer". It was even more arrogant than claiming they were already the best team in the world.
