Hulk Hogan claimed he's going to have the TNA writers fired when he returns to TNA to "run the promotion" after the Hulkamania Tour in Australia concludes.
Hogan said in a radio interview with Jason Datillo of 91.3 SportFM in Perth, Australia that he despises having writers in the wrestling business, especially when he worked in WWE. Hogan put Vince Russo and Ed Ferrara on notice with the following quote.
"In TNA, I'm going to listen to those fans and give them what they want. I'm not going to keep shoving a bunch of terrible, horrible, stale programming down their throats," Hogan said, referring to WWE's writing. "(In TNA), I'm going to take the writers and tell them, 'go get another job. Sit in the back. If I need you to write a jingle for a commercial, maybe we'll use you for that.'"
Hogan added that he wants to work with wrestlers who understand the wrestling business. He identified Kurt Angle, Sting, and A.J. Styles as the top three stars he sees in TNA.
"This is the wrestling business. If these wrestlers can't talk and these wrestlers can't wrestle, they need to head for the door," Hogan said.
Hogan had plenty more to say in the interview. Watch out for more stories pulling newsworthy quotes from Hogan's interview promoting the Australian Tour and talking WWE and TNA.

Well that's a great way to start. Get rid of the guys that have been writing, for the most part, good shows for the last six months or so.
I see where Hogan is coming from about not wanting every single aspect of the show being scripted, but from a creative standpoint, I fear for how this will affect the product.

Well he still has a beef with Russo, so firing him if he has the power to do so is hardly a surprise.
I wonder what he and Ed Ferrera are gonna do know. I doubt they'll be welcome over in WWE. I doubt even less that Russo would want to go back there.

I really hope this doesn't come to pass. I'll take Russo and Ferrara's writing any day over anything the Hulkster can come up with.

Can't help but think the Hogan "running TNA" and stuff is all a big work.

If it means the end to stupid swerves and storylines that handicap the wrestlers, I'm all for it. I also hope it means the end to scripted promos. If they can't figure out how to sell a match without having a script written out line-for-line, then they either need a manager or need to find another line of work.

Surely Dixie Carter hasn't given him the authority to make these kind of decisions?
If that's the case then I genuinely fear for the company.

PWTorch: The new Rajah.com? We may or may not know. Perhaps, but at least this is easy to varify, at least in terms of whether he actually said it or not. If he did, it means one of two things. It's a shoot and he's really in charge...oh God. If it's a work, what's the payoff? Will Hogan, the incoming babyface, overcome the evil heel writers? Will Hogan be the heel who is vanquished by the heroic writing team?

Well Hulk wants to do a more UWF, NWA, World Class, and old school WWF show. He already called Kevin Sullivan and want him to work with Russo, and ED.

Hogan also has a tendency to make absurd claims via the airwaves. I'd take this with a grain of salt until we see Russo make his exit from the company.
