I would like to make wild prediction on the casting. I want to predict that Al Pacino will be cast to play a villain. This is what I'm basing this on. It's bit out there but bear with me. If you look up Pacino's filmography you see he likes to work for directors usually on more then one occasion. EG: Francis Ford Coppala (3 films), Sidney Lumet (2 films), Brain De Palma (2 films), Martin Breast (2 films), Michael Mann (2 films). And he has previously been in a Nolan film: Insomnia. So don't be surprised if he is casted

I'd like to see More Non-powered villains for a while, possibly a coalition of Riddler (David Tennent), Calendar Man (Kevin Spacy), and Calculator (Unknown) masterminding bigger crimes. Penguin (Philip Seymour Hoffman) as a disfigured but respected socialite turned underworld kingpin, if Catwoman HAS to be in there, I'd drop hints about various "Cat Burgleries" and aside mentions shots, but nothing substantiated. Make her the Crime version of Batman, numerous rumors but no connecting threads.
I dunno, just a thought.

They should introduce Robin, then have him killed by the end of the movie.

I'd say Scarlett Johannson, but I'm thinking she'd make a better Poison Ivy down the road. Of course, I'm in the minority, but I'd like a cameo from Dr. Harleen Quinzell in the next film, too. Not a substantial role, but merely a sort of "easter egg" for the fanboys in the audience. Had she not met a tragic end, I'd have thought Brittany Murphy would have been excellent in that role.

Not surprised, but glad to hear Nolan is still on board to direct. It'll be hard to top The Dark Knight. But, as mentioned before, they seem to be taking their time with it (which is a good thing).

I want Riddler and Bane as the villains. Riddler on his own cannot work -- but you could craft a freakin' perfect script with both of them working as two independent forces.
Really, all I actually want is Bane - The Riddler could just play the gradual sanity slippage / climactic subplot role that Two-Face did in The Dark Knight, though, which is good enough for me.
Though I remember reading an idea somebody had of having the Phantasm and Catwoman. That could rule.

They could do the Azreal thing for the next movie.

So how long is it going to be before the "Dark Knight is overrated!!!!!!!" brigade arrives? No seriously, this is great news. I hope it's as good as the previous two Bat-flicks. I'm sure they'll be here soon. After all this is the internet ... Anyway, I liked both films, but Batman Begins is more enjoyable for me. I don't know what direction they will take with the next movie. There are only so many Batman villains that can be utilized in the Christopher Nolan realistic Batman Universe. While I like the idea of Catwoman, I'm not sure how she would translate to that universe. But I'm not sure she could be a main villain. I would like to make wild prediction on the casting. I think Riddler on his own would work great, but I'd definitely rather see the villains in play for most of the movie rather than coming in in the last half hour like Two-Face did. I thought Begins did a better job on that respect.

I still think two face will be the main villain, but i'm not sure who would play the secondary villain. I would say the Riddler, but that would just be Batman Forever again, only better lol. So i'm going to have to say bane... or what i'd really like is Hush. I think a whole movie just with Hush would be awesome though.
Anyways, didn't Nolan say that he'd never do Catwoman and Penguin? Also, Nolan said something about how Robin wouldn't be used and Christian Bale said that if Robin was ever used, he wouldn't do it?

I do not want Robin in this.
We'll probably get Riddler/Penguin and Catwoman. I think Nolan will stay with the "traditional" Batman villains. The first two films had a "realistic" edge to them so I can't picture him putting Bane in it. There will probably be a cameo of Joker somehow as well.
I'd love to see Daniel Day Lewis as the Riddler.
And when I heard about this and the fact that Nolan will "Godfather" the Superman films - made we wish we'd finally have a Superman Batman team up film. sigh....

David Tennant as the Riddler please. Either David Tennant, which would be amazing, or Crispin Glover, which I think could be truly incredible.

Didn't both movies make money? Forever did, but B & R bombed hard enough to kill the franchise for years.

While I've enjoyed the Batman movies so far..... CAN WE PLEASE DROP THIS SUPER REALISM CRAP PLEASE! Jeez, or throw a bunch of us a bone and involve Robin in some way? Not even a child Robin, somewhere around 17 or 19 so it's a bit more plausible. And hell use some more visually interesting villains like Firefly, Clayface, or Mr. Freeze. So tired of Mobsters.

I honestly love the Nolan movies but I think it's about bloody team Robin or Nightwing even were introduced.
Hell make it Jason Todd, make it a struggling fatherhood type plot with a villain, have Jason Todd die at the end and boom, dark, interesting and we at least have a Robin.

Please no Robin. Please. A kid jumping around in primary colored short shorts wouldn't really fit at all in Nolan's Batman world. Just stick with the formula that has been, so far, GIGANTICALLY successful. There's no reason to fix what's not broken.

Just stick with the formula that has been, so far, GIGANTICALLY successful. There's no reason to fix what's not broken. The ONLY way I could see it working in the Nolanverse would be to skip Robin entirely and just start with Nightwing as an adult superhero who saw the good Bruce did in #1 and #2 and decided to "make a difference" by emulating/helping Bruce. Basically a face version of the fake Batmen from #2 who is actually good at his job. And even then the Robin fanboys would complain because it "wasn't like comics enough". Ironically, Catwoman (as a romantic interest/thorn in Bats' side with NO SUPERNATURAL CATPOWERS) would work much more easily in the Nolanverse than Robin. And her inclusion wouldn't raise "that subtext" that the Nolan movies avoided so far.
