Just like every year when this is rumored.
If it comes true, I will mark like a bitch.

I'm only for such a match up if it ends the following way: Rock Wins! Rock Wins! Rock Wins! This

I'd just have Cena snap after he can't beat the Rock at 'Mania. Part of the reason behind the heel turn being that the fans were behind that "sell out" rather than the guy who "gave them his life". That is how I'd book it anyway. This is fantastic. Rock would probably only agree to come back if he wins, and then it sets the stage for Cena's heel turn, as he's done just about all he can as a face at this time. I'd book it this way, assuming a miracle happens and Rock even agrees to come back.

I don't think you could have this happen and keep Cena face. What you could do to make it significant is treat it like Cena is taking on a celebrity not a wrestler. Let Cena keep calling out the Rock and get more and more heelish, to the point where the Rock agrees to a fight. Not a wrestling match, but a fight of some sort. That way the context is changed and expectations are shifted some. Do the whole Shawn/HHH Summerslam finish and boom. No one looks bad.

To me, the first one sounds like a desperation/pathetic attempt of "passing the torch" and to "legitimize"Cena. You're right about the second one in a way, but I rather hae Rock win, which will save the WWE humilation from trying to elevate Cena. Don't get me wrong, I like and respect John Cena, but he is NOT the boom period star WWE makes him out to be. Its only the booking, rather than Cena himself. The problem is, The WWE would look stupid for having invested so much in Cena, only to have him lose to the guy that left wrestling to go make Disney flicks. It would hurt Cena, and make them look like jackasses So then its a lose-lose situation. Unless Cena goes heel after Wrestlemania, because fans are still not giving him respect(does he still get mixed reactions? I haven't watched in 8 months.) he feels he deserves. Knowing WWE however, they'll keep him face regardless of the outcome. Also, they would need a storyline building up to The Rock's possible in-ring return, which is another challenge in itself. With today's WWE booking philosphy, I can picture it half-ass and poorly handled at best.

That's why the "Rock teams with Cena vs (insert heels here)" idea makes more sense.

Rock's movie career is going teh wrong way for him, i.e. Tooth Fairy.
He should comeback and do something like this, but doubt it happens.
Plus, if he does, he should be wrestling HBK. Not cena

Rock's movie career is going teh wrong way for him, i.e. Tooth Fairy. Bad movies are hardly an indication that someone's career is going down the tubes. He's a part of Disney now. DISNEY. He's set for a long time.

Do you know how much money Disney pays? Not to mention job security? The dude is part of their family and will be put in movies and TV shows made by Disney without having to compete with other actors.
Shit, I wish I had that deal.

Exactly, I maybe be the biggest anti-Rock guy on here but, the dude is set for life as a part of Disney. Those family movies make more and earn the stars more than damn near any other movie type out there.

They may be crappy movies, but between DVD royalties and merchandising, he's making a bundle off of them. If they could somehow pull this match off, it would be beyond huge. I don't see it happening, but it is fun to think about.

Though I don't think they'll Turn him.

If the Rock comes back i only want to see him face HBK, that is it, nobody else. Rock /HBk would be just EPIC in everythign from promos to ring work.

Rock should be doing his promo tour for Tooth Fairy, so there's that
I'm down for Batista/Cena 2
Rock though is the man, just a couple of punches.
I wonder how he'll oversell the Attitude Adjustment

A heel Batista/face Cena on a collision course could be pretty interesting actually.

Do these count as spoilers? Yes I came in here, but that was only after the fact after I saw the "Rock vs Cena being planed for WM 26" title. I know it's about a rumor, because their plans could change, but couldn't it still be considered a spoiler as to what their plans are?

No way The Rock would agree to come back. And if he does, why does it have to be Cena he faces?
