If the Rock comes back i only want to see him face HBK, that is it, nobody else. Rock /HBk would be just EPIC in everythign from promos to ring work. This. HBK should be the go to guy for former talent returning. He's said in the past that he doesn't want another title run, so having him job to a returning former talent wouldn't hurt any push he had. Plus, the Rock is still in shape. He could make a return, brush off the ring rust, and be back to where he was when he left.

I can't see Rock/Cena being a good match honestly. Rock probably needs a better storyteller counterpart in the ring at this point than Cena. And not that it's a bad thing, but it wouldn't be Hogan/Rock as far as the crowd goes, the crowd would completely turn on Cena.

No way The Rock would agree to come back. And if he does, why does it have to be Cena he faces? Because it's the biggest possible match they could put together.

I think the biggest potential problem with that match would be with Rock having to shake off whatever ring rust he'd built up while in Hollywood.
But as far as Rock being able to get back in shape and put an exciting match together in the near future, Cena or perhaps HBK (or Punk, who knows) would be his best options.

Cena vs Batista (WHC)
Orton vs Kofi (WWE title)
Heel HBK vs Taker
Bret vs Vince
HHH vs Sheamus
Morrison wins MITB
And boom, there's your Wrestlemania. I don't think Rock is coming back for this one, although let's say he guest hosts before Mania, and they have him do a staredown with Cena...then it might happen. I imagine they'd want to put the marketing machine behind this match pretty soon though, so Rock is gonna have to host soon if it's gonna happen.

Why would The Rock want to come back and do a job for John Cena? What possible incentive would there be for him to do that when he can make more money in films?

I don't know either but if he did I would guess that he wanted to give back to the business one last time or something.

I doubt the Rock's coming back to Wrestlemania.
If he did, he definitely wouldn't face off against a putz like Cena.
They'd probably have him do some comedy bit with Santino and then a Rock Bottom and People's Elbow.

The Rock didn't like Michaels from when he started in the WWF. Back then Michaels was in full jerk mode and Rock has openly stated that he never wants to wrestle Michaels. Although he did mention it during the HOF a year or so ago, but I think that was mostly just to appease the fans. I think there might have been a rumor that Michaels and Rock's bad blood ran back to when Michaels was first starting out as well and upsetting his grandmother who was booker in Hawaii

If he did, he definitely wouldn't face off against a putz like Cena. There's not liking the guy, and there's using that dislike to justify a ridiculous premise. If Rock comes back, he's facing Cena. Period.

Honestly, it is because Rock is a Bret Hart guy and, doesn't like Shawn because of the Kliq and the Screwjob. No way The Rock would agree to come back. And if he does, why does it have to be Cena he faces? Because it's the biggest possible match they could put together. I'd think HBK/Rock would be (but, it is not a possibility) and, maybe Rey/Rock especially in AZ.

HBK vs Rock is not bigger than Cena vs Rock. All respect to Michaels.

HBK vs Rock is not bigger than Cena vs Rock. All respect to Michaels. See, I disagree. I think there is more in that with fans from the Attitude Era and the little they worked together than in Cena/Rock who have never met (on TV).

But with Cena/Rock you have the spectacle of "Biggest guy from the beginning of the decade vs. biggest guy from the end of the decade"
A lot like Hogan/Rock. HBK vs. Rock would probably be a better match but that's about it.

Period. Its bad business. You can have the Rock vs. Hornswaggle and it will still do great. Why waste Cena like that? You could have Cena vs Sheamus III, which will still bring in a big audience. That along with an appearance with the Rock and you'll have a bigger audience. The fact that he's a putz has nothing to do with it - I just wanted to use the word putz.

They'd probably have him do some comedy bit with Santino and then a Rock Bottom and People's Elbow. Let me get this straight: Cena is a putz, but Santino would be fine to do wrestling stuff with. I know Cena isn't everyone's cup of tea, but a big reason Santino is even in his role is because he's just not a very talented wrestler. He's good at what he does, and well, that's about it. That's why he blew so badly in his original role that they had to refluff him as a comedy heel.

I'd think HBK/Rock would be (but, it is not a possibility) and, maybe Rey/Rock especially in AZ.[/quote] The Rock was on Hart's side along with the Undertaker and most of the backstage against the kliq. I also heard, while HBK was still active, that him and HHH really tried hard to bury him. But then again the Rock worked with HHH when he had to, although most of the time he was on the losing end. Also this was when he was a regular worker in the WWE and probably had no choice. Now that the Rock's return would be on his terms, I am betting no HBK/HHH match, although HBK/Rock would be the best match. Cena would be the WWE's choice, but a dumb one since Cena would get booed out of the arena and probably have to turn heel if he actually defeats the Rock. Actually what about the Rock/Undertaker(probably not this year, but maybe next)? It has already happened, but I bet it would be a big draw, especially with the streak on the line. Plus I could see the Rock actually doing the job.
