Hey Jay, care to start spouting off about Conan's ratings again?
Leno is such a jackass. I hope this whole ordeal just completely derails his career.

What he needs is a lead in.
May I suggest Carson Daly, primetime?

I'm sure former members of Jay's staff would disagree.

Hey Jay, care to start spouting off about Conan's ratings again? Leno is such a jackass. I hope this whole ordeal just completely derails his career. I think it already had, its cost him a good chunk of his younger audience and plenty of people now flat-out refuse to watch his show.

Thank God. I thought total mediocrity was gonna be rewarded with huge success, again...

What are his numbers compared to Letterman?? Letterman was smoking (didn't help that Conan had Jay as a terrible lead in) Conan until the announcement that Jay was taking back over. Then Jay smoked Letterman his first week back. I would like to know their ratings head to head now.

Honestly?
I'm genuinly surprised.
Sure, I didn't expect Leno to get all his viewers back, but that drop is pretty sustantial to anything anyone could have predicted.
I'm with Parrish and want to see how this second week did compared to Letterman because if Letterman's getting those viewers then we're in for something interesting.

So who's next on his list? LOOK OUT FALLON HE'S COMING FOR YOU!! Seriously though I think NBC wanted Conan gone as much as Leno did, I don't think that whole thing was Leno's fault. The head of NBC seems like a douche anyway, so I wouldn't completely fault Leno for this one. The only thing I find funny on Leno is Headlines, and sometimes his monologue is funny, but it's more miss than hit IMO

According to THRFeed he's beating Letterman by .1. But his median age is at 56(!!), while Conan's was 46. So, thus far it would seem that NBC got rid of Conan to gain an average .1 in ratings, and hit a demographic a decade older. Let's give them a pat on the back.

NBC were backtracking and hoping that Conan would be a 'team player' for a show that didn't need changing so they ditched him, put Leno in it and now they're kind of paying for it. Now NBC are left with a show that's now losing ratings and noone to replace Jay with when he goes apart from Fallon who is NOT ready to take over.

A lot of you may want to look up the definition for "schadenfreude".
I like Conan as much as the next guy, but I think Leno gets way too much flak for this incident. This was NBC's fault, more than anything else.

This was NBC's fault, more than anything else. The thing is, Leno was kind of the face of it, and he was a pretty big douche about the whole thing. It's not entirely his fault, not by a longshot, but he's the easiest guy to mock, because he was the guy that was the face of the whole fiasco.

The only thing Jay Leno did wrong thoughout the entire thing was talk about it in interviews and in monologues. If he didn't do that, he'd be seen as a much more sympathetic figure of the whole thing. It definatly wasn't his fault, but he did nothing to help himself.
