Name things that are hugely popular in parts of the world but if you mention them to Americans they most likely won't know what the hell it is.
Like actors Bud Spencer and Terrence Hill. They've been an enormous success in Europe for ages, even now decades after their heyday.

these things. Been popular in Sweden for ages, I have a minor addiction to them, couldn't find a single one when I was in the states, might just be me looking in the wrong places though >_> somewhat off topic but it's sure as hell is largely unknown it seems. and it is that wearing shoes in my house results in me beating you to death with a stapler. seriously, every American I have ever had in here, shoes! all over my damn floors.

How about this: Rice porridge (or whatever americans may call them) is a huge christmas meal here. Does it even exist across the pond? What the hell do you guys call this anyway?: 1/4 of this and 3/4 water. Yum.

These things are very popular here in Mexico and are very easy to find, maybe you need come to Mexico instead the USA?

Oh we all know about it,we just don't care. Soccer is popular as a youth sport, but once soccer players get out of high school they tend to not care anymore. So you get poor soccer ratings and rather desperate attempts to get people watching, like the Beckham pseudo-event.
