OHWHATAMANEUVER
I loved when he would interrupt himself in the middle of a sentence to say that.
"This guy here has what it takes, and so far in the WWF I thinkOHWHATAMANEUVER!"

If you want outside of the ring stuff to be known, have a scroller at the bottom of the screen. Remember when Impact had that in the FSN days? all WWE stuff in on a sports network in canada.

Lets see who are the options, I'm trying to think of people who have done commentary in the past:
Todd Grisham - Comes off as a douche while doing not much of anything ...I can't imagine how annoying he'd be if he were talking for two hours.
Steve Romero - Does he even still work for WWE?
Coach - We've seen how bad he is at it last time.
Josh Mathews - The best of the remaining WWE announcers, but that doesn't mean much. Seems a bit to smarky/nerdy for the flagship program.
Mick Foley - Has done a little commentating, is entertaining, but would probably work better as the color man.
Paul Heyman - Busy being the messiah of ECW.
Lita - Dear god no.
King Booker - I'd love to see him commentate once he retires, but he seems to have plenty of steam left in him as a wrestler.
Al Snow - He worked a bit with Coach years back and more recently in OVW, an Al Snow/Mick Foley duo would be pretty interesting.
Simon Dean - His active days are over, he's really entertaining, though would make a lot more sense as an assholish color commentator like JBL.
Mr. McMahon - WHATAMANEUVER
Shane O' Mac - It's been so long that I forgot if I found him annoying or not on Heat.

what about having NO commentary. Just let the match speak for itself, and the wrestlers tell the story PeeWeeMoore, is that you?

Tazz would be an awesome person to put in JR's spot if he wasn't booked to ECW.

I still say they should put Flair on the announce table. I respect the guy and all, but he is just unpleasant to watch in the ring anymore. We get enough boobs from Ariel, we don't need Flair's too. But he would be better in Lawler's place as a heelish, somewhat lecherous, one line quipping commentator.

Literally..........in green marker

Flair should be one of those managers that come over and talk to/yell at the commentators during the match sometimes. Like Heenan used to, and D'amore has done more recently.

Frankly, I want to see Vito at an announce table. The one time he was on commentary he really impressed me with play-by-play. If all that fails...well...I'm sure Sean Mooney is still around.

What about Bischoff? I know he's not really working for them right now, but I think that would be really entertaining. We need a REAL heel commentator, not a tweener like King.

Lawler would be all over any woman they put in the booth with him. Piper would be great ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

Bischoff would be an interesting choice, but they haven't been able to make a heel play-by-play man work, and Lawler is terrible at play-by-play.

Todd Grisham impressed me the RAW he covered when Joey Styles "shot" on WWE.

I HOPE this means he's going back to Talent Relations. He's sorely needed there. JR would only improve that department if he headed it up. As it stands, there's only one solution to that problem: wish Johnny Ass the best in all of his future endeavors. For replacing JR at the table, I agree with Piper or Snow. They'd know their stuff, and none of the WWE's 30-something metrosexual clones could replace Ross, so... Or they could bring Khali in for commentary and run an English translation bar across the screen; at least we'd have something funny on Raw each week. And Flair should stay in the ring as long as possible. I don't mind his man boobs; I'm too busy noticing that he's one of the few professional wrestlers in a company full of sports entertainers.

I'd like Piper in the color role....what about Dusty Rhodes? I'm just throwing some more names out there....
Jesse Ventura? Steve Austin? The Godfather? Mike Rotunda? Bret Hart? (Loooooong shot, I know, but still) Mick Foley? Terry Funk?
