When I clicked this thread from the main forum menu, I had a feeling that he was gone.
RIP Dr. Life.

God damn that bums me right the f*** today. I was feeling great until I found about this. RIP Dr. Death. I hope 2010 is a lot better than this shitty year.

One of my all time favorites. I was always disappointed he chose Japan over America, and now he's dead. RIP.

Why must people insist on blaming the year? People--both famous ones and not--die every year!
Also, it's sad to hear about Dr. Death's death, even if I wasn't much of a fan. He seemed to be very good to fans.

RIP, Doc.
I just came on to do the 'Mod' thing, looked at AskaMod and saw someone requesting "The Dr. Death thread" to be stickied. I knew that it had to have happened, that he had passed away.
Some of my favorite wrestling moments involved Dr. Death as well as some of my favorite moments playing wrestling games, like SFPWXP.

Rest in peace, Steve. I always loved his work, and I marked like a little boy when he feuded with the Freebirds in Bill Watts' UWF. And again whem he and Bam-Bam took the NWA tag belts in 1992. And again when he showed up in WWF with Jim Ross as his mouthpiece.

"I Love It Loud" has just hit the speakers over at the Montreal Forum (What, it's no more, buildings go to Heaven too otherwise where do all the deceased live and such?) up there and the next contender for Mitsuharu Misawa's BRITS (That's Big Ring In The Sky) Heavyweight championship has entered the fray and it's a man he knows all too well.

RIP. My condolences to his friends and family. Dr. Death was an amazing wrestling and his team with Gordy helped expose me to the puroresu style. Always heard he was a heck of a guy too. From happier days, here's a commentary from Lance Storm about Doc's incredible punches: www.stormwrestling.com/071508.html

Sad news. I remember him best from his WCW days with Gordy, but have really enjoyed watching him on WWE 24/7 from his days with the Varsity Club. Truly an incredible wrestler. It's hard to believe that he went for over a decade without being pinned in the USA. Crazy. I haven't seen much of his Japanese stuff yet, but I hear it was great.
It's nice to think back to his initial triumph over cancer, and how that lead to "Dr. Life's" newfound faith and outlook on life. It sounds like he had gotten himself to a good place in life before his passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

RIP. I thought he was doing better recently? Sadly no. Earlier this year, he had a major set back and, as we sadly know, it took his life.

F***! F***! F***! F***! F***! F***!Dr. Death was one of my favorites and was a HELLUVA pro wrestler. His match with Kobashi in '93 is still one of the best I've ever seen. His Backdrop Driver was nothing short of attempted murder. That's how brutal it looked. God bless his stampeding soul. Prayers go out to his friends and family. I'm another one that thought he was doing better. I didn't know about the setback.

Totally in shock. I knew he had cancer but still not what I was expecting to see on the boards. RIP Steve.
Haven't enough wrestlers been taken away from us this year? Now another a day before end of the year.
