She hit her peak with the Trish feud, and it was all downhill from there. They should have turned her heel to freshen things up, but she was a huge crowd favorite and it would have been hard to get the fans to boo her. I'm surprised she was released but I'm not too bothered, frees up some space for Natalya.

To be totally, 100% honest, outside of her feud with Trish, she did very little of worth. Her ringwork had been incredibly sloppy since (at least) 08, seldom had good matches, her promo work was never that good, and she put off avibe of lethargy in her matches (anyone remember her series of terrible matches with Beth?).
I enjoyed looking at her, but her time had clearly come and gone in WWE, and the Piggy James angle really drove that home. I do hope she cando better on the indies and while I'd like to see a recharged Mickie in TNA, I think it would do more harm than good for her.

Thank the heavens that fat whore is gone. Next person who tries to flamebait in this thread gets a nice one week time out. Tired of having to remind people of this. Stop trying to be a dick.

When was the last time a released WWE wrestler trended on Twitter in almost every city in the world, even during the NFL Draft and a UK political debate? I rest my case. Mickie's awesome. She was relatively over, but even at the height of her popularity was not anything close to the levels of Sable, Lita, Trish or even Chyna. Also, Katie Lea was trending at one point so I'm not sure how much faith I'd put in that.

Mickie was a fan favourite, but her workrate slipped and became sloppy in recent years, hence the moveto editable Smackdown.
When she obviously decided she wanted to go sing and leave wrestling for a bit, or even good, it's no wonder WWE decided she wasn't worth it.
Why keep around an older worker who was begin to slip in ability and dedication, despite constant pushes and high profile fueds and titles when you have other younger girls who may not have the wrestling talent yet but are either trying to learn or, at the very least, dont want to go do something else despite the aforementioned pushes and so on.
It's a shame she is gone, but unlike a few years ago, I don't see it currently being a huge loss.

Now that Natalya is a face, I could actually see her replacing Mickie as one of the big babyface divas. That is if they let her.

She did not get moved to Smackdown because her work became so sloppy it needed editing. Look at the girls they have wrestling on the live show. I'm much more likely to believe the "it was seen as a punishment/there were issues with people on Raw" theory.

Yeah, but wasnt the punishment because of the amount of sloppy botches she was making?
At least that is what many of the reports are stating in terms of looking at why she was released.
Personally, I'd imagine it has more to do with her desire to go singing and WWE simply decided to ditch her before she ditched them. The old 'no one is bigger than the company' mentality. Same thing as what just happened to Maria.

I wasn't one of Mickie James' devoted followers but I did like her and I will miss her on TV. I feel sorry for those who were HUGE fans of her, never nice when you're favourite wrestler leaves. I remember being gutted when Jericho left in 2005 but at least it was his decision to go.
She was a part of the best Divas feud of all time with Trish in 2006 and was always portrayed as the number one babyface diva when she turned. Hope she does well with her music stuff.

It was argued that Mickie was moved because she wasn't over a failed relationship with John Cena. It wasn't because of her workrate.

Well, that was one rumour that out there, but another was that she had heat with people on Raw because she was "getting emotional" about a breakup. I hate to be the one to bring it up again, but of course there was the weight rumour too.
If she got moved to Smackdown for "sloppiness", I suspect it was just a cover for some underlying petty reasoning. She's far less sloppy than the majority of the Raw women's division.

Does it really matter why she went to Smackdown? She isn't there anymore..... That was mean. Sorry Be interesting to see if she makes a big splash in the music industry, as others who have tried from WWE have failed at that. But Mickie is trrying a different market, so I wish her well in that and will check Steveweisers sigs for the lastest Mickie news

Needless to say but Mickie vs. Trish is probably the best WWE Diva storyline of the last decade probably. I still can't understand WWE's decision here but hopefully Mickie goes on to better things in the wrestling world or music world whatever she wants to do. Oh and I think Steveweiser needs a hug so...... That is a free hug by the way. Oh and a reminder of the good times

It is a shame Mickie has gone. I was never her biggest fan, but she still had something to contribute to the WWE. Tiffany, Kelly and The Bella's; there's four women who add less to the WWE than Mickie did. Any word on if it were mutual or not?
Her angle with Trish was fantastic on the whole. We all tend to forget the worse parts of the angle, but we do that for every good feud, and that's what it was; a good feud. The last good women's feud. She came in with a bang of glory and kept that for months until her Wrestlemania win. Sure it went downhill from there, but there really was no way to go other than down. She still managed to have a few solid years.
In her last few months on RAW she really did seem to be unfocused, and her in-ring work at times was abysmal. Thank god she was moved over to Smackdown, and not only did her in-ring work improve dramatically, but she was put in one of the best women's feuds of the last few years: the Piggy James story. Sure, some people thought it was a punishment (and I'm sure there will be plenty more stories coming out about it now she's fired) but what I watched on TV was a great, well acted storyline with good matches. I'm glad that she got another good storyline before leaving.
Good luck with the future Mickie.

Thanks for the memories Mickie. You'll always be my favorite vagina fingering psycho stalker of hot blondes ;D I hated the way your career with WWE ended...nobody should ever go out losing to that talentless Crypt Keeper looking twig known as Michelle McCool Damn WWE for letting the one of the very few females I actually enjoyed seeing go. Doesn't make sense...they keep the ones nobody gives a damn about and fire the ones people actually like.
