On the bright side, "A Shot in the Foot: The Carlito Colon Story" should be on store shelves soon. Primo is next. He's nothing without Carlito.

To be fair to Carlito, I can't see any rehab programme working for him. He'd never actually meet the medical staff to get the help he needs. After all, an apple a day keeps the doctor away.

He's the top story on WWE.com and he didn't get wished well in his future endeavors, whatever he did, it must be serious.
DAS NOT COOL!

It couldn't have been steroids since he's too lazy and he doesn't work that much.

That's a stupid reason to get fired, but I think I'll miss him. I dunno why he got so much flak for his in-ring work when he was better than a lot of guys there.

I'd be cool with never having to hear Carlito's theme again. Primo better use "Oh Puerto Rico" as his theme.

Yup, he was released due to failure of the wellness test, and refusing to go to rehab (sounds an awful lot like Umaga's case...) And sadly we know how that ended

Carlito's really got spectacular timing, doesn't he?
To compensate, Primo will be debuting his other, white brother this week, Zack Colon.

ive been waiting for this day to happen since the day after he debuted...this guy SUCKS...the absolute textbook definition of a no talent dead weight loser...how does that saying go, "the biggest trick the devil pulled was convincing the world he didnt exist?" well i disagree, the biggest trick was this zero getting WWE to actually pay him for a few years...

This could really help Primo. Instead of being in a tag team that was going to be used to help build the Harts, then get pushed to the bottom of what appears to be the rebirth of a Tag Division (Croft/Beretta, Hawkins/Archer, Kozlov/tbc, Hardy/Gabriel) with his couldn't give a crap brother, instead, Primo's probably in a great spot to become the new Virgil. There's already been the interaction, and it would make more sense for it to be Primo than Tarver. I thought the second violation was rehab.... If they think you need rehab, it doesn't matter what violation it is. Example: Wrestler A has one violation for recreational drug use, no other recreational drug has ever shown (and some recreational drugs stay in the system for a month), the second for no prescription (although he subsequently produces a legit prescription, it's still a strike). Two completely different violations. Is he an addict? Almost certainly not, so you don't send him to rehab, because they'd take one look at him and discharge him. Wrestler B has had a lot of prescriptions for a painkiller, the prescriptions are getting bigger, and his latest test shows an amount greater than he's been prescribed. It's his first strike, is he an addict? There's evidence to point to it, so you do send him to rehab because the intake pattern is that of an addiction slowly growing stronger. Carlito's been rumored to be on the chopping block for so long. I'm surprised that it took them this long to fire him, frankly. This is the first time that they've fired a guy for one wellness violation (I think), so this one had to be a doozy. They haven't fired him for failing wellness, they've fired him for refusing to go to rehab. The violation itself could be minor or major. It doesn't matter, After what happened with Umaga, I just don't see how anyone that WWE tells to go to rehab can think it's a good idea to refuse it. Yeah, that's just stupidity beyond belief. No-one needs rehab more than someone who thinks that they don't need rehab, while others are telling them that they do.

I dont see why people think he's lazy in the ring...I havent seen any news that seems credible to me but then again i don't take the wrestling news sites to heart anyways. I always thought he was pretty good in the ring compared to a lot of guys in the company.
On a side note, does anyone think its kind of fishy he hasn't been removed from the raw roster page, and his story is the top story on wwe.com? Any other release you usually have to go to the wwe news section of the site.

They haven't fired him for failing wellness, they've fired him for refusing to go to rehab. The violation itself could be minor or major. It doesn't matter, Of course. What I meant was that it is very unusual to see someone who has been there that long get bounced from his first strike, so they must really be concerned. The comparison to Umaga is pretty scary. I hope he's okay.

Man, I'm just bummed out about this.
I always liked Carlito (except for that brutal late 2007 period where he did nothing but job and chase midgets), but who's to say what actually happened. As with all wrestling "news", it's all speculation and random facts juxtaposed into an attempt at looking like a credible outlet for stories.
I, for one, will wish Carlito the best in his future endeavors and I hope to see you again guy.
