I honestly think Jim Ross' second heel turn could've been good. He was like a bitter old man you wanted to hate, but you just had to feel sorry for him because of the hell he's been through.
Maybe not the worst heel turn, but Triple H's 2000 heel turn seemed so abrupt and desperate to salvage the "Rikishi running over Austin" diabolical. He was getting over as a tweener face.

What about Road Warrior Animal's heel turn during his last WWE stint?

What about Road Warrior Animal's heel turn during his last WWE stint? The one where he dressed up like the Guy in Leather from the Village People?

I wanted to post the video but couldn't find but the worst one in recent memory is Eugene. Thats right they tried to turn the lovable mentally retarded fan favorite into a mentally retarded bad guy. Its even worse, when you consider that the WWE had the perfect heel turn for him right in front of them. Just say he was faking the whole thing, and there you get some instant cheap heat. I actually appreciated that they didn't go that route. That would have been too obvious, and I actually liked that they tried to go with the "He's used to getting special treatment because of his condition, and now that he's not getting special treatment anymore, he's freaking out and hurting people." storyline. I actually wish they'd have stuck with it.

How about Carlito turning on Primo? He breaks up a sucessful tag team to spend the next year jobbing on RAW.

Charlie Haas sorta half assed heal turn post knocking Lillian off the apron where he started teaming with Visera. The best part of that random team was their "explanation" for turning. "We know why we did it. But we're not gonna tell you."

I just thought of another one.
That really random half turn Hurricane did when he stole his mask back from that kid. It went absolutely, positively nowhere.

I feel WWE needs to do one of stuff like this more to freshen things up.

The story makes sense when you think about it hard enough. Lilian had been rejecting Viscera for months, but he was still hung up on her, so when Haas accidentally knocked her down, he got mad Eventually he realized he was defending a broad that didn't give a damn about him, so he dropped her and moved on.

I'm surprised no one as mentioned Jeff Hardy's heel turn back around 02-03 time which only lasted like 2 or 3 weeks and ended with him being kicked in the face by HBK, what really was the point of that? and who the hell thought it was a good idea in the first place? HAHAHAHA!!! Oh my gosh, I was just thinking about that a couple of days ago! Every time I think about it, it cracks me up because it so unintentionally funny! He says he's gonna start beating people around here and then he gets kicked in the face by Shawn Michaels and he isn't seen for the next three weeks or he turned face when he came back, or something. I can't remember, but who cares? To me, that was the most unintentionally funny thing I've ever seen on WWE TV that didn't involve Batista or Warrior. To answer the question, (And I'm kind of cheating here) I'd have to say Triple H's lack of face turn after WrestleMania X-7. Watch the RAW the night after WM 17--the fans wanted to cheer Triple H so badly it was nuts. The guy had a legit gripe with Vince and a good reason to feud with Vince and Austin and go after the belt. So what do they do? Paired Trips and Austin together and killed it all dead. People say Austin's heel turn was what hurt WWF, but I think it was Triple H's lack of face turn that did them in. Runner Up goes to Tatanka. I can't really add anything to what everyone else has said. And sorry to get off topic, but I'll you what I think what one of the best heel turns in recent memory was: "...Is that because you're better than me?"

According to OWW Jeff's heel turn lasted from Jan 12th 2003-Feb 3rd 2003, so yeah it lasted 3 weeks after getting kicked by HBK I remember he then teamed with him for a couple of weeks for no reason again.

I personally have to go with Austin at Wrestlemania 17. Even when they explained why it still didn't make any sense to me or my friends. Austin was already someone who played by his own rules and was sort of an antihero. Also couldn't understand why Tazz became a heel in 2000. As I remember it he would randomly attack Rikishi just to get heat. But I could be wrong.

Matt's heel turn last year.
"I'm jealous of you, Jeff. That's why I burned down your house, killed your dog, and tried to kill you about five times."
*six months later*
"Aw, don't worry about it. We're all cool now."

Rikishi's heel turn was horrible. Rikishi and Too Cool were way, way over. Then the WWF decide to run that 'Who ran over Stone Cold?' angle. Great, we have Mick Foley investigating. But it was obvious who was behind it. I mean Triple H's lackeys (I seem to remember that it was Road Dogg and X-Pac) locked Stone Cold out of the building, Triple H was the one who capitalised. But that wouldn't make a good angle. So, they needed a swerve. Hey, lets try Rikishi!
(Honestly? when Mick announced that it was Rikishi, I thought it was a 'Mick Foley Goofy Joke', and I laughed)
Oops, didn't work too well, doesn't help that they immediately changed the happy-go-lucky dancing sumo-guy that everyone loved into EVIL GANGSTA RIKISHI. Okay, you just destroyed one of your most over guys. Hey, cheer up, you've still got Too Cool... wait, Rikishi just squashed them, they're off TV. Oh you've brought in Haku to team with Rikishi! But Haku sucks, and you just killed the WCW Hardcore division.
Yes a heel turn so bad, it made another promotion suck more! (yeah, I know, they'd have got Haku/Meng in anyway, just to screw with WCW)
