Well, maybe the fact he's getting a Mattel figure made will finally end this stupid rumour once and for all. Oooooh Yeah! Were he really guilty of doing something to the underage Steph, there is no way this would be happening.

I think it has more to do with Savage being legitimately crazy. So crazy that he is still in "WWF vs WCW" mode. I remember everybody talking crap about the WWF and Vince while in WCW but they all came back in the end. I think Savage's mental state prevents him from admitting that "They were using me as an announcer instead of a wrestler" is not a legit reason to hold such a grudge. I despise ignorance about Randy Savage. Watch a REAL SHOOT of the man. He is a class act with great heart. Dont judge him by his crazy songs or that gym video he was having fun with in 2003.

He's going to be a must buy for a lot of people who have wanted a Macho Man since the Jakks line started up. It's amazing that Mattel, in a little over 6 months, has snagged the two biggest fish who didn't have figures, Savage and Steamboat, that Jakks couldn't sign in 6 years of doing legends figures.

That truely is awesome, and they picked his Wrestlemania 7 attire as the Macho King in his classic retirement match to boot.
That was one of his best attires.

Steamboat probably never happened because of his ex-wife. I think it's been sorted out.

But it could be that Mattel came up with the money to pay him for licensing fees, and their contract is separate from WWE, like the way Jakks was able to sign Bruno to a Legends action figure deal even though he wanted nothing to do with WWE. And the original "Savage slept with Stephanie" rumor didn't say anything about Stephanie being 14 or whatever, that part was added after the rumor started spreading like wildfire.

I would think the WWE would have power of veto over something like this because his actions could come back to embarass both the 'E and Mattel. Underage or overage, I find the rumour ridiculous, but it's one of those things that will persevere depressingly because people want to believe it, like Bret being bitter or Shawn still being a pr*ck. It seems at time Savage could come out on Raw, hug Vince, Steph and Hunter and some would still believe it because Hunter isn't smiling enough or something.

Fact is Steph-Savage almost certainly did not happen. however wrestling fans in general seem to think they have a right to see there 'hero's' returning to the WWF (like Hogan. Hart, Flair and the whole list of others) and when a wrestler chooses not to he must have a legit beef with the owner. So crap like Savage-Steph get;s made up. Truth to the matter is there may (and IMO most likely) be no real reason as to why Savage has not directly worked with the WWE since 1994 it probably is all just personal choice not based on any big reason and he feels no need to return to WWE for any reason and the most likely thing which will happen over the next few years will be Savage into HOF and that will be about it for WWE-Savage.

I wonder if people at my old jobs make conspiracy theories for why I don't turn up there any more.
Most likely, the man is just retired.
If Vince doesn't want to bring him back it may just be because his act is very 1980s and wouldn't fit in with the current product.
